    My review of the game should be out tomorrow. I can't wait to see what you guys think. I touched on a lot of the things mentioned in this thread.

      Nice, can't wait to give it a read. As far as 2k goes, 2k7 was indeed the best of the series. I just put it into my ps3 (yes, I got it a few years back lol) and everything looked great. The sim stats were on point (Jose Reyes won the batting title with a .343 average), Pujols led majors in dingers (46) and Manny led in RBI's (144). ERA's were about right (Doc Halladay led majors with 2.33 ERA and 243 innings), Johan in complete games and shutouts (6 and 4 respectively), K-Rod had the most saves (39), Sabathia and Randy Johnson tied for wins (19), and Yankees had 102 wins lol.From a strategic point, the franchise mode was solid. Not only can you control ticket prices (that was all you controlled regarding financials), but you can also adjust sliders for each manager to suit their styles. I just noticed too, after all these years, that you can hold team meetings (there were 19 I believe) which would influence your team. Some, you lost your temper, some you tried to motivate them, etc. Amazing touch.Played a 5 inning game to try it out and I did like it alot. It was also refreshing to hear jon miller and joe morgan
      Angels= 2025 World Series Champions!!

        You have to be kidding me. 2K12 is better than 2K7 by leaps and bounds. Outside of the graphics it is no comparison. Trying to hit in 2K7 was difficult because the ball would appear then disappear on its approach to the plate...Playing in dome stadiums was like a dungeon due to the poor lighting..too many homeruns. This is the most fun I have had with a baseball game since MVP. Are any of you guys actually digging into this game and seeing what it has to offer? Are you reading the review from Gamespot (which I believe had to be from the prepatched demo by the way). The more you play this game the more you will continually notice the little things that make it great. I noticed a pop up over the dugout the other day and it landed on the top of the dugout. (one of the players in the dugout scattered for cover). I could go on and on but instead of spending my time on here defending this great game I am gonna play it instead. Its not perfect but its great.

        1) baserunning ( needs tweaked at patch)
        its my only major issue with the game and if this is the only thing they patch I would be happy.

          Your thread should've been more appropriately titled "Decline in VISUAL Quality of MLB2k Baseball" since you're primarily focused on the graphics. I agree the visuals you posted look much better than they do now (almost shockingly better), but I also remember there being tons of complaints about the game only being 30fps, the excessive cloth physics, and the gameplay. Your thread title makes it seem like the game's worse all the way around, when most would say that's not the case.
          HBO's "The Wire" should rank as one of the top 10 shows EVER on tv - period

          XBL gamertag: d0meBreaker22 (that's a zero)

          congrats Steelers, city of Pittsburgh, and Steeler Nation - SIX TIME WORLD CHAMPS

            As you can see from the video in the blog I had no issues with the gameplay outside of the outfielding! And if you clicked on the blog you'd also see it did say graphics.

            You'd also see from the video that I had no issues with the 30fps it was 2007 didn't expect much!

            Maybe you should read the blog and not two sentences on the first post!

            And who cares about IGN's review, I'm playing the game! I don't care about a site of reviewers who don't even really play sports games, but get paid to brutally kill anything outside of the show!

            And if you see the video I had no problem hitting the ball I had two back to back home runs and baserunning was fine, it was the outfield that had issues! But to each their own. And this thread was primarily on the lack of graphics details, if you read the other post and read the blog, you'd clearly have known I complimented the improvements on gameplay! And stated very clearly that the graphics went down hill from 2k7 to 2k12 and got worse each year for 5 years.

            And I proved it, from terrible color palettes and now from life like models to crappy zombie cartoonish models!
