And remember, the OP said he was a realism geek.

That being said, could you say what slider set you use? I'd like to try.
I know that it is not only depending on the pitch count itself. But when I have a game which I win 2-1 with 7-6 hits and the pitch count is in the 140 range I think that pitches/AB aren't the problem.

I use Mkharsh's sliders since one week again, changed infielder and outfielder speed to 0, user contact to 30 and AI contact to 75, user pitch control to 15. Other then that I left everything as it was.

I did NOT get these results/stats immediately, it depends on skill. And as a user you sometimes HAVE to throw balls. They do it in reality, too.

      Very true.

Pitches/PA in this game averages out to about 3.4, where as the MLB average is 3.8. IMO, because of this, you'll find pitchers to be able to go an extra inning or two than normal on average. Franchise mode might get on your nerves sooner than later, and I don't believe the patch is going to address "realism".
You are right about the pitch counts being just a tad off. I tend to average around 120 pitches a game, the cpu is at about 110 or so. It should be, ideally, around 140 per game. However, especially in franchise, pitchers aren't going to be quite getting to realistic pitch counts. Most of the time, a pitcher's upper limits in the game is just over 100 pitches, and if you hit that, then he's unlikely to be at 100 fatigue for his next start, when his limit will be closer to 90-95. So I don't think pitchers go extremely deep into games. I'm averaging just a shade over 6 innings a start in my franchise (25 games in). And in my last 4 games (limited I know, but all my boxscores on my schedule before then are gone for some reason) I've had starters against me go 6 2/3 innings, 2/3 inning, 6 innings, and 5 2/3 innings. With the right sliders, I've been getting great results.

How do you know what I throw and don't throw? That hasn't been established in the conversation yet. Yes, you make a valid point, but it has no relevance to what I've said thus far. Statistically, I'm around average in all categories, with no wide variance in any. This includes SOs and BBs, with my strike percentage in the 600s. If I could get another 10 foul balls per/side without effecting the other stats, I believe I'd have a pretty solid game, statistically speaking.

IF we get a combined 30 fouls per game, and I don't think I see that many, 25 of those would be my team. The AI team doesn't foul the ball too often.

They foul them off like crazy in my game. It usually happens in 0-2 counts again scrappy/slappy hitters. My problem is not being able to foul any off against the CPU.

If I set the AI pitch speed to low I foul off like crazy into the 3b stands. If I set it too high, it's the 1b stands constantly.

Why do you even take that as an offense, this was meant as a general statement.
