Normally those players do not have this problem.

So if Mkharsh has not used those fake players to make Darvish, Smyly, etc. out of them the chances are pretty high that his Darvish and Smyly don't have the problem. But perhaps other players have this problem, when he used those fake players to create other pitchers. Do you understand what I mean?

And regarding the piece I marked in your quote. I am sorry but I have to disappoint you. The problem affects the CPU, too. I do not know if this occurs in sim games also, but it definately influences the games you play. When you play against a bugged Darvish or Smyly you will crush them out of town in 9 out of 10 cases.
I once played a game against the Rangers and Yu Darvish and led by 8 or 9 to nothing after the first two. I made a hit nearly every at bat and Darvish pitched so damn poor I could not believe it. Then I switched the controller over to the Rangers and guess what you could see? Every pitch of Yu Darvish was red and this was why I was able to crush him...
OK. So you're saying that players who had a fake name that was changed to their real name in subsequent roster update have this bug. And thus this bug mostly affects rookies since they tend to be the ones who have the fake names untill they officially become part of the MLBPA after playing their first MLB game.

It must have something to do with the player loosing their player ID, or something else in the "background" programming us console player's can't fix. It's good you PC players can fix it though.

As you alluded to earlier. I guess the only way around this is to delete the bugged guy and make a CAP (create a player) with exactly the same pitches/skills/potential... etc etc. You loose his stats of course, but thats not as bad as the player being bugged I suppose.

Also as far as MK's roster. I think he did make a CAP for Yu Darvish, and other guys. So most likely this bug doesnt affect Yu Darvish in MK's roster.

But MKHarsh can answer that better than I. Im not sure if made CAP's in his roster built off the original 2K rosters to create rookies/prospects or not.

We pc players first have the option like you console players have, to change the Darvish's and Smyly's names and ratings and send them to (let's say for example) an A affiliate of some team out there. Then we take a player from them and make a new Darvish and Smyly out of them and send them to Texas, Detroit, whatever.
The second option we have that we can change the names of all players like Jarrod Parker, which you can't. We have this small little editor that can unlock the names etc. So we can take a player that already has a record, change his name/attributes/etc. and then do the same things we did to the Darvishs and Smylys. There is no other workaround I know of.
When a pitcher has this "red pitch" problem, he will still be in the game. There is no magic around that can delete this bug.
The only advantage we pc players have is our editor that can unlock names.

Yap, that is the way I described above.
No idea about Mkharsh's rosters since I am a pc player. Best would be to go to his thread and ask him.

Another problem is that the game won't let you create as much players by yourself like you want. Their is a restriction, but no idea at which number.
