Actually I felt that Homerun King, Sega's other baseball game, had a much more realistic and better playing game engine....it just needed to have the franchise mode and polish that WSB was given and that would be the ultimate baseball game.

I havent really enjoyed this WSB engine since it switched from WSB 2K1 back on the Dreamcast.

I think Saturn WSB was the most enjoyable WSB to date.

TOTALLY agree there! We share the same beliefs to what is good/bad with Sega and this series. It's a shame that they (Wow, Sega, THQ, whoever) let that WSB/HR King engine die.

How are the pitchers, do they walk people, is it to easy to get strikeouts? Can the ai strike out the user? How are simulated stats?

Playing on All-Star setting now, I can usually draw one to two walks a game (I am fairly patient at the plate), Pitches are set to the fastest - I (batting) usually strike out 5-10 times a game. From what I have seen simulated stats (CPU teams/players) look about right. A few examples, Bonds has 60 HR's and I am in September, Wood and Prior are 1 and 2 in K's, Boston leads the Yankees by 11 games (had to throw that in, hate the Yankees)
