    No PC Version???

I was reading about MLB 2K13 somewhere and since I have (and plan on getting) MLB The Show for my Ps3, I only play the 2K version on my PC. While I was reading, something that caught my attention was that it said that it said that 2K would not be producing a PC version for this years release of the game. Is this true???

That is correct, as far as I can tell. Only PS3 and 360 (no PC, Wii or Vita). For the PC, who cares though? If the changes are mostly a roster update, that's easy to do on the PC. It keeps me from EA's trap of buing a PC game every year that is completely deficient (I'm looking at you, NHL and Madden).

Here's what I don't understand: if it was just a roster update (and a few minor tweaks), wouldn't it have been INCREDIBLY easy to apply that roster update and tweaks to the PC version? Why not release a PC version if it would take such a minimal effort? Kinda strange since even minimal sales would recoup the effort

True. I guess I'll just have to play a modded version of 2K12 on my PC and I'll stick with MLB The Show on my PS3.

Normally I would agree but we need the Astros moved to the AL, can that be done with a roster update?

Ya, 2K should at least make 2k13 for the PC just so we can get the Astro move. What dicks...

2K has not officially stated that the PC version is canned, just like they never officially mentioned that NO 2K baseball game would be released this year. This is 2K folks, they are the worst company as a sports game publisher when it come to marketing. I say it will be out in late March or early April.

Well it's actually easy to move the Astros to the AL (with a couple small flaws) the trick is going to be getting the schedule.

Well after cancelling the PC version 2ksports has lost my money to the competition...As big of a fan as I am of all their titles...This is a big middle finger to me and the PC community....

I won't be getting the console version until it's $20 bucks or less....or I buy it off someone trading it in at Lamestop or GameXChange...

Did you do the anticipation global edit talked about for the consoles as well? If so, wondered if it made a difference. Also wondered if only was any good / smooth? It would take a lot for me to do this on PC, however.

It's not surprising. Really, the number of games out there for PC is shrinking daily.

Any proof to that? PC has never been the place for sports games or other genres like JRPGs and Platformers. For practically everything else, PC is the best and sometimes only way to go.

Isn't it funny that no matter how unimportant something is that is said there is always someone who wants to debate it? I thought it was a pretty unremarkable statement I made.

Never say never, PC was loaded with sports games and the best of the best. We had Madden, High Heat, NFL Gameday, NFL Fever, Hard Ball, Earl Weaver Baseball, VR Baseball, Tiger Woods PGA, Microsoft Baseball, Microsoft Golf, Monday Night Football, College Slam, Sierra Pro Football, Triple Play Baseball, MVP Baseball, NBA Live, Links, NHL Hockey, Nascar Racing. You get the picture and I have not listed the DOS stuff yet. So yeah I believe it is diminishing.
