I'm looking to purchase 13, but I'm pretty satisfied with 12 for the pc. But still some stuff like AI mgt that I wish were better. Even if the differences are very subtle, what gameplay improvements have been made. I know with 2K12 there are updated rosters with current schedule and Astros in the AL. But I'm looking for little things that may have been tweaked from 2K12. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Not true...this is just what guys who stuck with 2K12 think; most of them haven't given 2K13 much time to judge it. Or they feel that the developers let them down by rushing 2K13, so they won't touch it. Or they feel that they invested too much time with sliders and rosters on 2K12, etc, etc....but no one can honestly say 2K13 isn't better.
The cpu AI is better in 2K13 about pitching changes and they're also better about pinch hitting late in games and generating decent lineups.
The play on defense is much more smooth in 2K13. I feel that the anticipation attribute isn't as off in 2K13 as it was in 2K12.
The commentary is updated. Anti-2K13 people were even saying the commentary was the same as in 2K12 which is completely false. The commentary is updated and even better than in 2K12. It might be the best, deepest commentary of any baseball game ever.

You couldn't just answer the question, you had to turn it into a rant and a sermon. I've read several dozen in-depth reviews by long-time MLB 2K gamers. All of them make it clear that the changes are minimal to non-existent. And sorry, but you can't possibly be suggesting 2K paid Thorne to come into the studio and record more commentary, when the devs didn't even bother to switch up the intro from last year?Comment

Personally, I think buying 2K13 NEW is a waste of money, so I waited and got it for $5
I think the fielding animations are a lot better, as are the various errors...had Jordy Mercer actually bobble the ball on a gather, but Chase Utley bobbled one and still got the runner by a half step and then even Ryan Howard after missing two balls that flew by him...dove and snagged a liner, meaning even mediocre fielders can have a great play and great fielders can make bad plays
The sliders for pitching seem to have been tweaked, making the strong point of this game (pitcher vs batter) even more tense and fun
The AI for lineups is much improved
Other than those 3...it still has the same game killing glitches and bugs (leaving a reliever to bat bottom of 9th with 2 outs, down by 1 run and players on 2nd and 3rd)Comment

After renting 2K13 for a couple weeks, I went back to my 2K12 franchise save. I miss the more-updated rosters and the few player faces they managed to improve, but it's worth saving the $60 for me. I'm sure I'll break down and buy a used copy when they come down to ~$25.Comment
