-first of all i'm disppointed that theres no broadcast camera option in sight. though one cutscene shows a possible playable BTP view. it is slightly elevated and farther from the pitcher and a little bit more to the center this time. not exactly deadcenter and not exactly as off-centered as it was last year. but it remains to be seen i guess if they decide to make this thing playable.
-the game looks practically the same as last years.
-the beginning game cutscenes are exactly pasted and cut from last year
-again the infield diving catch is the same as the outfield diving catch, which is to say when an infielder dives sideways for a ball, the glove wont be angled towards the ball.
-outfield calls for a flyball and sometimes the camera cuts to show to a closeup of him. throwing animation is the same as last year though.
-the head of the batter also contourts as it did last year right before the pitch is thrown
-batting animation, meh, better than last year but could be smoother. its hard to explain but i guess it has to do with the upper body of the batter, it feels like im swinging a samurai sword or something
-hitting the ball w/o a cursor feels very realistic, but when you swing high and the ball is low, it looks silly. i guess its because of the animation and the behind the batter view. i'd love to see how way off a batter's swing would be from a pitcher's perspective.
-stadium graphics are noticably sharper, same crowd graphics though.
EDIT: WAIT a minute! there is a pitcher cam!! nice! its the same one as last years though. also theres an offcentered BTB one like MVP, you cant see the side of the catcher though, theres also one exactly like ken griffey jr's winning run where its BTB but slightly elevated not exactly like last years i dont think.
also i just gave up a homerun to center field. the ball doesnt disappear like last year, which is good. but the replay setup is exactly like last year, which i thought they would have changed. it starts with the close-up of the slow motion swing, then it keeps the camera on the catcher as he stands up and admires the flight of the ball, and finally it shows the ball's descension. one good thing though is that the replay doesnt cutoff before the ball bounces this time.
