An underrated and overlooked feature!

Not too many people really focused at what it said when they read some of the things that FatPitcher said. Well, when he mentioned the franchise mode, he also noted the whole GameCast feature thing, which when he said it I think that he meant how you could watch a quick simulated game like MVP (not sure if you can intervene or not).

But, that's not the big one. He also said that you don't have to play your own games in franchise mode, and that you can play any other game on the schedule for that date. You can even play in any stadium this year! I've read the boards before... some people are complaining how they don't want to play in Yankee Stadium for 80 games (and THEN some for the playoffs), or how they want to play in some of those classic stadiums. So why don't you?... it's right here in this game! If you are sick and tired of being the Brewers and want a change to be Ichiro, go be as the Mariners and wack it out in Comerica against the Angels or something. I mean, the option to play as any other team in your franchise is the closest to multiplayer franchise that you will get this year! The only thing you're not doing is handling contracts and trades and stuff, but you could just as well play 2431 (the last 1 is the All Star Game) in a season... it's not like you're limited to just your team.

People complained about it, and now it's here, so cherish it!

No, that's incorrect. It gives a full view(rundown) of the entire game. It's the same thing that was in ESPN NFL.

I know that you might not... I'm just saying that between the time span of WSB 2K3's pre-release and now, there were SO many people hoping for stuff like this.

Not to mention they also pray for multi-player franchises. I don't know if that means that they want to GM the team, or if they'd just be happy by at least playing their games.

Being able to play any game in your franchise is a very nice idea.

Like Muffin said, it adds a lot of variety.

This way, even though I would be playing all the games in my Jay's franchise, I could also:

-Pitch with Clemens in his debut in Houston.
-Play with the Yankees when AROD makes his debut.
-Play some games with the Cubs (who I also like).
-Play some big rivalry games like Yanks/Sox.
-Impact the playoff race by playing some important games down the stretch.
-etc.....

This really makes you feel like you are experiencing all the MLB has to offer.

I haven't decided whether I will buy this game for sure yet, but this feature is definitely nice.
