No old time parks added.

You can jump in (into the game, i.e. MVP's intervening feature last year). No jumping back out.

Once you are in the game, you can't go back to the play-by-play sim. You can still "sim to end" to simulate the rest of the game all at once, though.

But, that's not the big one. He also said that you don't have to play your own games in franchise mode, and that you can play any other game on the schedule for that date. You can even play in any stadium this year! I've read the boards before... some people are complaining how they don't want to play in Yankee Stadium for 80 games (and THEN some for the playoffs), or how they want to play in some of those classic stadiums. So why don't you?... it's right here in this game! If you are sick and tired of being the Brewers and want a change to be Ichiro, go be as the Mariners and wack it out in Comerica against the Angels or something. I mean, the option to play as any other team in your franchise is the closest to multiplayer franchise that you will get this year! The only thing you're not doing is handling contracts and trades and stuff, but you could just as well play 2431 (the last 1 is the All Star Game) in a season... it's not like you're limited to just your team.

People complained about it, and now it's here, so cherish it!

This is one feature that every franchise mode should have. It may be the deciding factor of which game I get: MVP or ESPN. It doesn't look like you can play CPU games in MVP, so I may stick with ESPN this year.
