Agreed, having a power button is stupid an unnecessary. Come on, Sega, evolve already.

Dude, they already said in this thread that there is an option for one-button swinging. What's your problem? Do you work for EA or something?

I personally don't care for the power button so I will definately turn it off. Others might like, so each their own.

Re: Power Swing: Good or Bad?

BAD: Here is why. Real-life players don't go to the plate -- or they should _not_ -- thinking "now, am I going to swing with an aluminum bat or a wood bat today?". They simply get up there and swing. If the pitch is a good one they will jump on it. Otherwise, if they have to swing (because it's an 0-2 count and runners are on second and third) they probably won't get the meat of the bat on the ball. In other words, the hitting really should depend on the player ratings if we're going to use ratings here. What good are player ratings if Joe Schmoe can't hit the ball anyway or if he is able to hit everything? Otherwise, that's what games like Baseball Stars are for :=)

This was one of my complaints last year and glad to hear they fixed it by having a one button option. I will now consider purchasing this game, since I saw before there was the same power and regular swing buttons while trying out the demo. I sure hope turbo boost can be taken out as well!
