Trust me...you owe it to yourself to at least try MVP.

MVP 2004 is worlds better than last year's ESPN. I can't imagine this year being much
different after seeing the vids and the feature set.

If you buy MVP now, and ESPN later, you'll find yourself going back to MVP.
    100% guarantee it.

My apologies if this comes across as rude, and I really don't mean it to, but... posts like this make me laugh. I say we wait for all the games to come out (never soon enough!), before we make statements and '100% guarentees'.

Re: This is gonna be a long two weeks

Let me say this. I'm a Sega/ESPN guy myself. I picked up MVP today just to satisfy my curiosity. I'll say this, it's a much better game then last year and I enjoy playing it. However, I know that ESPN is going to be a better game. I think that last years Sega game is better than this years MVP. This is not to knock MVP, I just think that the Sega/ESPN franchise is a much more realistic baseball game. I'll probably continue to play MVP up until ESPN comes out, and then I'll trade it in for ESPN. I'm not the type to play two games of the same sport.

So, my final thought is, hold off and wait for two weeks. I'm sure you would enjoy MVP for the two weeks, then you probably wouldn't touch it again.

I was thinking about doing the same thing. I was wondering though when you say trade in what do you mean? Do any of the gamestores still take back opened new games with a receipt? Please let me know because that's the way I want to go then. Also, being there is a 10 dollar price difference between both games would they give you 10 cash back or store credit?

I purchase MVP because I was tired of playing football online. I am going to trade MVP for ESPN. I am not impress with MVP. It's cool, not a bad game but it just doesn't do anything impressive. The player are little stiff too me. The online play is nice. IMO ESPN may be the better game if Sega doesn't do anything crazy like they did this year with the Pro basketball game.

They don't let you return it once it's opened. A few stores let you return it for the same game if you have a receipt. I think what they're talking about is trading in MVP for a reduced price and chipping in the difference. Like buying it for $50 and selling it for $35 and shelling out another $15. You can look at that extra $15 bucks as renting the game twice from Blockbuster.
