    Looking Forward To This Game

I have MVP and AllStar 2005 but I'm really looking forward to this game. MVP really messed up IMHO with the Lefty glitch and franchise problem. Lefty glitch is causing me to trade it for ESPN. I like Allstar 2005 except for basic components being made too difficult. The game is full of things that should be simple but are made overly complicated like fielding, baserunning and turning DPs.
ESPN looks very nice IMO. You know the nice colors and textures will be there as well as silky smooth framerate. This game didn't need much done to it from last year unlike the others. I'm expecting it to be better than most people complaining on this board. I put in 2k3 last nite just for kicks and guess what? Last years version still does more things right than the new games.
ESPN will be fun, very customizable, and I'm guessing it will end up getting most of my PT.

I agree also. I've been playing 2k3 like nobody's business the past week or so waiting for this game to come out.
Yes, I've been here since 2003. No, I don't post much. I'm too busy playing the games.

So have I!!! And just an update on my franchise, Andruw Jones just retired (age 38) as the new home run king with 900 home runs!!!!

Behind him are A-Rod with 811, Sosa with 805 and then Aaron.

                      Good times. Can't wait.

Sorry guys, with all due respect Sega lost me this year. Reckon you are all either very loyal, buy every game out, or are just easily pleased.

WSB was my baseball game last year to be sure, but everything I've seen and read makes it appear to me Sega pulled an EA this year: same old product with a couple of minor upgrades that leaves it vulnerable to the competition - as Madden 2004 was to the surprising ESPN Football last season.

Ironically, EA shed its pattern here and actually pushed their title WAY ahead of its prior incarnation (yea I hate the progression prob too but in three seasons so far it's been manageable).

What I don't get is EA doing so much and releasing first, and Sega doing so little and releasing last. Perhaps that foolish novelty first person mode slowed them down...

                            * BTW, I'm not trolling here, I've been spending time here trying to learn about ESPN to decide whether it was worth purchasing or not. Had my hopes up, but made my mind up this a.m. not to spend the bucks. The last straw was reviewing new videos and screenies, the batting animations are embarassingly bad, and the player faces are not well done in comparison to MVP or ASB. The game really looks like it has barely advanced from last year.
