This is my first time playing ESPN baseball, so I started my season at default pro, timed hitting. I did start off the season pretty bad at around 4-11, but I then one 7 games in a row. Once I started winning all of my games, I switched to All-Star, and made one or two minor tweaks.
But, I noticed last night that even though most of my guys are not putting up huge numbers, I am getting my hits. Only Enrique Wilson is batting under .300 and this is about 25 games into the season, and pretty much all of my games, I have double digit hits.
What I'm going to do is move the batting cam to low wide, remove the strike zone, put it on Legend, and change it to timed hitting. Hopefully then, I will get more realistic numbers.Comment

Re: Are your human controlled player\'s numbers coming out realistically?
Thanks for the reply Duece. I think you will definately get more realistic numbers with those settings. Tim I agree that the player has major input into the results. My point is that I want to feel like I have a much better chance of hitting one out with Bonds than Neifi Perez. I should be able to make the exact same contact with the ball between the two players and on average over the course of the season see much different results. If that's not the case I don't have any motivation to continue playing. I'm not saying that is the case with this game, I'm just trying to get a feel for what other players are seeing.Comment

My power hitters definitly have different results from my weaker players. Sheff and Sierra have there fair share of doubles, but it doesn't seem unrealistic because neither one of them have many HRs.
I love the game overall.Comment
