    Pitching tips...........

Seems I give up more HR's when I fill up the "effort" meter?

WHen do you sub your pitcher in (how far do you let the stamina bar go down)?

I am playing on Pro level and it is challenging so far.

I never fill my meter up more than 3/4 of the way. I pitch inside to brush them back a little. Then I go for kill with the slider down and away. It works sometimes.

When you are up in the count, like 0-2 and such, throw away some pitches, and try to get them to chase. Mix up pitches and pitch speeds.

Heel, I actually stopped using the pitching meter for this reason. It seems like when you don't give it any juice, the CPU tees off, but if you use the meter too much, your pitcher gets too tired. I've had better results since I stopped using it, although I admit I like the meter idea.

However, I would say that when you're not using any extra gas, you've got to work the edges of the strike zone, especially on your first couple pitches. Use the meter when you want to juice up a pitch in the zone. You can also come in a little further in the zone with a change up after you've gone with the heat, as the timing will screw up the swing but the location will encourage the CPU to swing.

Finally, don't be afraid to walk guys. In some cases, you're better nibbling and walking than drifting in and getting clobbered. Know your opposing lineups so you can pitch accordingly.

One last thing -- don't be afraid to pitch to the red zones. The CPU will figure out if you keep hitting blue. Try to alter your first pitch selection too, as it seems like they will figure out if you go with the same initial pitch each time.

No, the meter works, but fill half way. Sometimes, don't fill at all. It works if you mix it up and don't fill all the way all the time.

I turned the meter off as well, I find it much better that way, and pitchers still tire realistically, and pitch counts remain realistic! As far as tips, throw balls, paint corners, change speeds, and most importantly, pitch into double plays by jamming batters down and in, and using breaking balls to induce ground balls!
