Does the CPU get a realistic # of doubles and triples against you?

Do they play small ball or score most of their runs on homeruns against you? I'm really just starting to play the game but am noticing most of the runs against me coming on homeruns. This is on default sliders though and only a few games. Thanks.

The O-Birds just lit me up for 18 runs, only 3 runs as a result of homeruns. They were banging balls off the monster left and right plus a few ground rule doubles to boot...Wakefield didn't seem to have any movement on his knuckle ball and my middle relief didn't relieve anything. The game before Lowe pitched a gem and I won 2-1.

The comp doesn't hit many extra base hits against me. Mostly homeruns and singles. Last game I did give up a double and a triple. I was excited.

it seems pretty good. I have a lot of changes to the sliders tho. I know 2 of my changes werer to decrease the Cpu tendancy to take a strike. Also increased the tendancy for the cpu to swing at a ball. As far as giving up doubles - i have found that if I change teams or fields it cab significantly affect the amount of doubles and triples.

The answer is yes, especially when I am playing a good team. I just finsihed a series with the Twinkies (taking 2 out of 3 of course). The game I lost they lit me up for 11 runs and only 4 were from homeruns (2). I think they had at least 2 triples and 3 or four doubles. The metrodome has a lot of room in the outfield which I think accounted for all the extra base hits.

I am one game from the all star break and I still play this game every day. I am even still seeing some new animations to boot!
