Re: Does the CPU get a realistic # of doubles and triples against you?

The answer is yes, especially when I am playing a good team. I just finsihed a series with the Twinkies (taking 2 out of 3 of course). The game I lost they lit me up for 11 runs and only 4 were from homeruns (2). I think they had at least 2 triples and 3 or four doubles. The metrodome has a lot of room in the outfield which I think accounted for all the extra base hits.

I am one game from the all star break and I still play this game every day. I am even still seeing some new animations to boot!

ever since I turned speed boost off, the doubles and triples have gone up a lot.

I'm giving up the fewest doubles and triples in the league after 30+ games. I am also near the bottom in doubles and triples for me. This is with the Phillies.

I never even thought of that. I'm getting a realistic amount of doubles and triples, but I hardly give any up. Turning speed boost off could definately make a difference. Good idea!

Guys - Remember that decreasing the power slider decreases balls that are hit hard. Therefore you won't be able to rope as many into the gaps. They'll just be lazy line drives that the CPU will cut off before it gets into the gap. I have the power slider at 45. IMO the easiest way to fix having too many HR's without really dropping the Human Power Slider down is to make the CPU pitch better (throw more balls and nibble more at the corners). Right now I have the CPU throw balls overall at 37. #1 and #2 starters still don't walk many, but #4 and #5 starters will give up 3-4 a game if you're patient.

Triples are pretty rare in baseball, rarer than home runs for sure. So don't expect too many of them.

The average baseball team today gains about 35-40% of its offense from home runs.
