    Re: Question about homerun balls?

i hit one into the alleghaney(sp?) river @ PNC park in pittsburgh. it was 449ft , on the replay i couldn't see it go into the water because the camera stops and you have to angle back from centerfield to even see the river. I was able to track the ball until it went behind the stands , so it does seem possible to see it go in the river! on replay if you hit it in the right spot.
I think Cincy and SanFran stadiums also have splash

The landmark i would most like to homer off is the warehouse at oriole park. I assume/hope it would even bounce off of it since it is a building.

Next year collisions w/realistic reactions... outfield collisions, Wall Collisions, DoublePlay basepath collisions

I also remember in MVP Baseball the ball would bounce off an object once and then dissapear. Is this also the case in WSB2k5? Or is it sorta like ASB 2005? Thanks

The ball never "vanishes", only the crowd is invisible in terms of detection. The problem with home runs is that the camera cuts away too quickly, that is a big problem. Half of the time you don't even get a chance to see the ball land. I have yet to actually watch a ball go into the Cove at SBC yet.

sucks that it cuts to a replay so fast, sounds like the problem mvp has.

No, but in MVP you can see the instant replay of it. On ESPN, it's not that long.
