Re: Carlos Zambrano and Matt Clement a bit underrated?

Clement is wierd because he has great movement on his pitches , if u edit that in , it bo0sts his overall too much. but i don't care , i basically keep Clement abotu the same , but i make him have a 2seam fastball(cutfastball) that has a 93 movement and a 92speed. I only give that pitch a 77 control tho. His curve also has like a 85 movement and even worse control like 55. Clements regular fastball doesn't have a TON of movement but its decent to the 2 seam and similar.

Zambrano is a little better then Clement.

The overall rating is only an indicator, It does not say who is the better player, it is only a formula that adds the ratings together to estimate an overall rating. The real importance is the specific ratings. Sometimes you give a guy his real ratings and he has an overall of 83 but he is a mediocre player , and sometimes you give a guy his real ratings and his overall is 72 but he is an impact player.

also Hawkins is quite a bit overrated

      Question guys?

I agree with the ratings pretty much. However, Carlos Zambrano only has a 85-86 mph fastball in the game. In real life it is 10 mph faster than that. How can i edit that to be more realistic??
I agree with clement and stuff..but just need the proper MPH on some of these guys.

go to your rosters and choose edit player , shuffle thru the pages until it shows the pitch type and then the screen with velocity control movement.

Yea Zambrano is around 94 95 on his fastball right ? i know he isn't 85. Thats why i say he is slightly better then Clement. Clement falters on control at times , but Zambrano (last 30 outings or so) has usually been in control of the game and shown some good hard stuff.

the default ratings were far from perfect , some good players like melvin moraare bums , so you know that they will be off quite a bit with the more complex pitching ratings. If doing a franchise or even for fun i recomend spending some time updating rosters. Especially if you have a favorite team. As you see games on tv take a mental note of the guys real pitches , velocity , movement and fill it in later. You should at least have your home team pretty darn realistic and it just adds to the fun and replay value.
