MLB 2K15??

Do you think if mlb 2k15 was to be made it would blow out mlb the show graphic wise? I would love to see 2k make another baseball game for only next gen consoles. Those graphics would be insane!

i would love to see the return of the mlb 2k franchise on next gen systems. i buy the show every year. every once in a while i pop in mlb 2k7 on the ps3 and still find it enjoyable for the difference in approach it takes to the game of baseball. the days of sports games on the sony console being the "red-headed stepchild" aka the "ported version" are over thank goodness (haven't had an xbox since the org xbox...still pop in GTA SA once in a while...lol). with the power of the new gen systems, i'd love to see any developers' attempt at an accurate sim of the sport. consumers having choices is a great thing!

I've purchased both games over the last 3 or 4 years and for my tastes, MLB2K was a better game.
The only thing holding it back was poor animations and player models.
If it looked as good as it's competition, I think it would have dominated sales and we'd be talking about it in the same breath as NBA2K.

I still play 2K13 regularly and I'm amazed with how great the presentation and commentary are.
It's like listening and watching a real telecast.

Unfortunately, I fear we've seen the last of 2K baseball. Kush did too much damage to the brand. By the time VC took over and fixed that mess, it was too late.

2k13's servers are down now too, I think?
2K13 is almost the same as 2k12, but with updated rosters and the Astros in the AL.

I still play 2K13. In fact, I played a couple of games this morning.

I'd love an updated version, but I'm more than happy with this for now.

Yeah I've started playing 2k11 again kinda is cool just is not as realistic as it could/should be, I really hope they make a new game that they put some time and effort into

What sucks is that I think they (VC) were so close.
I honestly believe that if 2K13 looked as good as The Show it would have been a massive hit.
The player models weren't as good and some of the animations were wonky.
But with the right slider tweaks, the game has a very solid gameplay engine.
It's just too bad it didn't look as pretty as other sports games.

I really hope that they attempt to get back in the business.
However, seeing as even juggernaut EA isn't jumping back in, it makes me believe there isn't a lot of money to be made with baseball gaming. Maybe not enough for 2 titles anyway.

It makes me miss the olden days where a baseball gamer had upwards of 5 games to choose from on a yearly basis.

The models aren't as bad as everyone makes them out to be. The bigger names are definitely recognizable.

I feel that a game shouldn't play perfectly out of the box. Everyone likes to play the game differently, so having the ability to change it the way you want it to makes it half the fun.

Maybe they just arent ready to take it on, or that they just don't feel the game would be a waste, there's a clear cut path and I think the just haven't taken the risk, but honestly i don't see any risk if they do try to put out a fairly decent game, Id crave it, I'd get my hands on it the day it came out, all of us would. Ik it's only been what 2 years? But still 2K has gotta represent and show us that it's the best, if the Show Beats it out than so be it, I just hate that it's only for Playstation.
But I would expect An announcement sometime in the future soon, cuz eventually itll dawn on them that nows there time to spark a comeback.
But with NBA 2K on the rise idk if it will happen within the next few years

Misleading title. This is sounding like the threads that used to start up after NFL 2K5's demise.

2K had the opportunity to reign over the sports gaming industry, but unfortunately lost out to glitz and arcade game play that youngsters and some "oldsters" seem to like better. hard to explain. Of course, in a large respect they did it to themselves taking working formulas and abandoning some of them.

Are you serious on the part in bold above? I respect everybody's opinion on these forums but I don't see how anybody could make that claim. MLB The Show is the best console baseball game ever produced. OOTPB(Out Of The Park Baseball) is actually the best baseball simulation game made but that's for PC.

To me, The Show beats MLB 2K in every way & I mean EVERY way. It is a shame though that 360 baseball fans won't have a baseball game for the near future. I am expecting The Show to fade out on PS3 by no later than 2016. So, 2 more years of The Show probably on that console & then it will be strictly PS4. I just don't see it being produced beyond 2016 for the PS3. Thanks!

Check the sales. Over 120,000 people bought 2K13 on the PS3 so obviously there are people that preferred 2K's baseball game over the other.

Considering you are commenting within the 2K board, you shouldn't be surprised by my opinion, or anyone else's who had the audacity to choose 2K over SCEA.

You love MLB, that's great. Maybe talk about that game within the MLB board.

Yup, mlb the show is just like real baseball, everytime I turn it on I fall asleep.
