Re: MLB 2K15??
Looking over my quotes again I see that I wrote them in plain English, so I'm not sure how my words could have been misconstrued.
But hey, thanks for pissing on my opinions. But I guess that's okay as long as you prefix your opinion by starting off with the "I respect everyone's opinion but,..." bit.
Check the sales. Over 120,000 people bought 2K13 on the PS3 so obviously there are people that preferred 2K's baseball game over the other.
Considering you are commenting within the 2K board, you shouldn't be surprised by my opinion, or anyone else's who had the audacity to choose 2K over SCEA.
You love MLB, that's great. Maybe talk about that game within the MLB board.
You say over 120,000 people bought MLB 2K13 on PS3. Do you know the numbers for MLB 14 The Show on PS3? It's quite a bit more than that bud! I'm not knocking MLB 2K13 in this forum. I'm just stating my opinion that The Show is a better game.
I'm allowed to do that! I will respect & honor your opinions as well. I do hope that a baseball game can be brought back to the 360 but it's not likely with last gen consoles. I believe if MLB 2K or any other new baseball game comes out it will be for the XBox One and/or PS4. Thanks!NCAA- GO VOLS

Geez! No need to get your underwear in a big wad. I was just sharing an opinion based on your post. Of course we're going to see different opinions depending on which forums we're posting inside. More skeptical posts coming from The Show forums about MLB 2K but more positive posts like yours coming this section of the forums. You don't tell me where to posts either. I have a right to post here even if it's not in favor of this game. I have MLB 2K13 for 360. It's not a bad game! It's all we got on the 360 for baseball so it's take it or leave it anyhow.

Re: MLB 2K15??
IMO, the 2K series, while lacking against The Show in a number of ways, comes ahead in quite a few as well.
Commentary is probably the best I have heard in a sports game.
Menu design, I felt, was a lot easier to navigate than in the Show
Player movement i much easier in 2K. You can simply drop a player to Free Agency, whereas you have to transfer another player in order to drop in the Show (unless I'm doing something completely wrong)
It all comes down to what works for an individual, and what they are looking to get out of a particular game.
For me, given that I don't have the time to play video games for 12 hours a day, I want something that I can have fun with during the time that I do get to play. Like Money99, I have bought both games, every year from 2008 up to 2013, and something keeps drawing me back to the 2K product.
It was the same for hockey with me to from 2008 to 2010. 2K just does something different that makes the games enjoyable for me.Comment

While I agree that everyone is entitled to their opinion, the first statement you made wasn't exactly an "opinion" It reads more like you are saying that MLB The Show is the be all, end of, of baseball games.

I'll add that 2K has better Analog Pitching, Hitters Eye, Defensive Ratings for all positions and better slider depth.
And I think your comment about presentation and commentary really needs to be repeated.
The presentation and commentary in this game is 2nd-to-none.
I play 2K13 nearly every day and I'm still amazed at how awesome the commentary is.
I love how between at-bats, the crew will bring up future games and talk a bit about how players from that game are doing, or struggling.
P.S. tonybologna, I didn't throw out sales numbers to compare the games, I simply threw it out to prove that there are PS3 owners who preferred 2K13 (or at least thought it was worthy of a purchase).
If you had simply come here and said that you preferred MLB to 2K, fine. But you basically came in swinging talking about how you can't believe anyone would prefer 2K and that MLB does everything 100% perfect and there's no comparison.
As CrazyKitchenGuy and myself have pointed out, we feel (and I'm sure some of those 110K people who purchased 2K13 on the PS3 will too), that 2K does some things better than The Show.
And like CKG stated, for us, 2K is just more fun than MLB. I found myself turning that game off after a few innings, only to pop 2K back in.Comment

Re: MLB 2K15??
[LEFT]
Are you serious on the part in bold above? I respect everybody's opinion on these forums but I don't see how anybody could make that claim. MLB The Show is the best console baseball game ever produced. OOTPB(Out Of The Park Baseball) is actually the best baseball simulation game made but that's for PC.
To me, The Show beats MLB 2K in every way & I mean EVERY way. It is a shame though that 360 baseball fans won't have a baseball game for the near future. I am expecting The Show to fade out on PS3 by no later than 2016. So, 2 more years of The Show probably on that console & then it will be strictly PS4. I just don't see it being produced beyond 2016 for the PS3. Thanks!
2k had a far and away better pitching and fielding system. 2ks online was rediculously fun compared to the show. 2k had a better hitters eye system. And 2k also had more satisfying atbats. Its downfall to me was its horrific animations, player models, and stadiums. If 2k only had the shows visuals...damn.
Also, to say the show is the greatest baseball game ever conceived is rediculous. It only seems great because its a respectable baseball sim with zero competition. To this today i prefer mvp 05 over mlb 14 the show.Comment

Re: MLB 2K15??
I feel almost exactly the opposite as you. Ive played many iterations of both titles and i can honestly say 2k was the better game in every aspect except for two areas. Bugs and visuals. The thing was, 2ks visuals were so bad, especially the animations, that it made it unplayable after playing the show.

Even though MVP 05 is a great baseball game it still doesn't fit up to par with The Show. That's my opinion of course. I'm done with the discussion about this. I appreciate all of your opinions though & it was great chatting about it. Thanks guys!NCAA- GO VOLS

Re: MLB 2K15??
I am a PS3 owner. Bought it specifically for the show in 2010. I have to say though MLB 2k13 is the best baseball video game ever made in my opinion. Love the pitching. Love the hitting. Love the fielding. I am huge on presentation and I think that is where it gets me. I have never seen a video game feel so much like a real television broadcast. It engrosses me in my own little baseball universe. I fire this game up all the time.
I am in a season right now with the Blue Jays. I think I'm 5-10 or something like that. I get all types of games. I never mind finishing my games even if I am getting blown out. It is fun watching my season develop. Wish I got in on the roster updates a bit closer to when they dropped 2kshare for it though. I thought they might keep it going with it being the most recent game they put out. Why not just keep updating the rosters? I love it though.Comment
