I'll guarantee anyone this..If SLAM ZONE was not optional this game would lose alot of consumers...That has got to be the corniest feature put in any game...Its even worse than First Person Football.

I would love to be in a room and watch two guys playing this game when the slam zone crap came on...It would be one of the funniest things you could ever see. I'd be dyin laughing at the MASH-FEST. There is NO SKILL whatsoever to SLAM ZONE..Its simply about who can MASH their buttons the fastest....Oh yeah..now thats simulation...lol

So tell me oh great gaming god, what skill is just pressing a god dam button. Whether you do it 50 times in a row or just 1 time, its still pressing a button.

Is their great skill in dialing a phone, are your pressess of the button more skilled than mine? no you still are pressing a button, you are not swing the bat, I repeat "YOU ARE NOT SWINGING A BAT" now thats skill, a blind man can press a button.

Superb job of missing the point and taking it in an entirely different direction.

We can all agree there is no great skill involved in pressing a button. It's what you are doing with taht button and what the end result is.

The point was, what is harder to do: press a button while timing it perfectly with the speed and location of a pitch, or repeatedly mashing on a button and not having to worry about timing or any other variable?

Baseball games should be about timing, because, as we all know, baseball is a game about timing. When you take out a very key factor in batting, and replace it with button-mashing, you take a way a pretty big part of a videogame being a true simulation of the sport.

I didn't miss the point at all, I'm just tired of people pissing on a feature, that they haven't even tried. Its totally stupid too me, like I said in an earlier post. I will be the first to admit its arcade "AFTER" playing the game, "NOT" before. I bet SLamZone feels like like an black man in Jim Crow south, he's being judge by appearance alone and no one has taking the time to get to know him as a person just judge him and cast him aside.

I knew the obligatory, "oooooh, you compared this feature to racial prejuidice would come. Just look at what I'm dealing with people, who fear change and comfortable with the status quo. Its a methaphor, and methaphorically speaking if you chose to look before you leap, then maybe you would see the path you chose.

Prejuide or Pre Judge, is what you and others are doing, first learn and then discern it if you must.

As a point of reference so know one will be offended. I'm over 40, from Memphis, Tn. and have seen the effects of Jim Crow south as well as witnessed it, I now reside in Los Angeles, Ca. so before you travelled that road consider the source.
