Oh man! I was leaning toward buying 2k5 too, now I'll have to reconsider. I only have time for one game, so I'm only buying one. This news about MVP really throws a wrench into the equation.

out of curiosity, if you were going to buy a certain game, why does the release date of another, change it?

for me, i am going to buy mlb 2006 on the release date for sure. i was waffling between trying 2k5 sometime this summer if it was $20. it is, so i will try it. it does not matter what time they come out, at least to me.

i am not trying to bash, i am just trying to understand.

im not sure what to do either,i was disappointed with mvp last year.so i dont think i will mess with it this year,but the early release has me anxious for a game now so i dont know.but i do know im gonna definately pick up mlb06 for sure.

though I HATE EA, they're smart. they realize it's baseball fever time and lots of us are feeling the need to pick up a baseball game. they don't care if we return it when MLB2k5 comes out, they want that sale. by pushing up the release date, it gets people like me, who are really jones-ing to play game out to the stores.

i wasn't going to buy MVP, but now, just because i want to play a baseball game so bad, i will.

it is unlikely that 2k5 is going to meet the date. that is only 3 days away and if they are to have met it, the game would have to have gone gold already and packaging would have to be ready, shipping, delivery and a whole host of other options would have to be in motion. they could, but a company with a reputation for developmental glitches that could have been prevented should take the next few days to make sure they are ready.

a lot of people may not be ready for a baseball game in february anyways. march 1 was a pretty early release date. i am still playing my basketball games.

dude, I'm ready for a baseball game anytime of year. I'm a baseball fan, it doesn't have to be officially baseball season for me to play, give me a break.

Same here. Though sometimes during the season I will get bored with baseball, but that doesn't last long.
