It's time to grow up now and put on your big boy pants. You've been warned numerous times about junk like this. What's so hard about stating your own opinions about a game and letting others have theirs? Grow up already.

Am I the only one who hopes Kush fixes all of the bugs in the game before worrying about useless stuff like "toothpick bats" and some terrible animations? Gameplay comes first, and while this game plays a decent game of baseball with adjusted sliders, it's seriously lacking in several areas.

(that was originally posted on the day after ESPN NFL 2K5 was released.)

Of course, people still call me a VC "*****", which clearly isn't accurate. I just want them to go the extra mile on the polish.
Thanks for the answer man. I remember seeing that article back along time ago and I thought it was very good and well written. You kind of make me think and imagine how ESPN would have been if they fixed the bugs this year. Man, online would have been awesome. The running QB's is pretty annoying. (even though I have improved on stopping them with my Middle LB and Safety) In 2K4 I could actually use my LB for more purposes to help my D. But of course that game had a ridiculous amount of broken tackles.

I take back all my comments calling you a VC *****, sorry man, judged you very unfair. See you around.

No need to apologize. What people have to realize that not all people with critcisim of a given game are necessarily "haters" of a series- or a company.

I hope for the best in every sports game that comes out, but I think there's a trend out there of "EA till death!" and "T2 or bust!" loyalty that persists among the consumers. Its nuts though, when you think about it- and quite silly.

But, back to the problems the 2K series of games has experienced- I think that the need for high capacity storage mediums (such as harddrives or any other hard drive type device) is quite evident in the next generation of console game systems... if only for the ability to patch the game executeables and AI algorhythms on the fly as gameplay issues/flaws are discovered. That way, we wouldn't be all sitting here debating about how bad the "Wild-pitch/Past Ball" issue is. Think about it- in NFL 2K4 - the only thing holding it back was a few issues, but mainly the super-juiced running game. (Sliders help- but not online with head to head play) I know TONS of Madden people who would have switched to 2K4 were it not for "super running". Fast-forward to NFL 2K5- and the franchise/trade issues, broken spy command, and some coverage AI issues... and there's the difference between several hundred thousand copies going to Madden versus ESPN.

So I think the ability to do on the fly patching/fixing on the next Gen consoles will be the great equalizer between T2 and EA. Unfortunately ,we are kind of stuck with things "as-is", except in some rare instances where games are written for present-gen with patch ability in mind. Its certainly not the norm, especially on PS2- considering its very limited storage medium- (final fantasy hard-drive not withstanding..most game companies realize that most PS2 owners have not and will not invest in it at such a late stage in the PS2's life cycle.)

I also like the MVP series tho i'm not getting that game this year. I think that gamers should be offered with genuine choices. So this is bad for consumers whether you like the series that has taken over their respected liscences or not.
They only have the MLB License for third party titles. Which means that Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo can release MLB Baseball games. On a related note EA has the ESPN License now. There are rumors that EA may make a MLB baseball for Microsoft for the xbox.

*shakes head* As it's been said several times, unless EA sells themselves to MS or unless they sell the MVP license, there will be no MVP Baseball game next year. Period.

After playing MVP this year, and actually being happy with it, I am quite disappointed that T2 has the rights.

I have both of them, and MVP, as far as gameplay is concerned, is the clear winner this year.

If Kush doesn't clean up the bugs in their game, I won't bother with them next year. I'll just play MVP for another season.
