I rented 2k4 and felt exactly the same way. The game played horrible out of the box, unlike 2k3. As far as judging gameplay and nothing else (nothing else means no atmosphere or anything like that- just the stats and realism the game produces) 2k3 beats 2k5 pretty easily. Overall though, including presentation and the atmosphere, 2k5 feels a lot more like baseball to me.

No, you forget that pitchers couldn't get a sacrifce bunt down and stealing was practically automatic for the CPU.

It is my opinion that ESPN MLB 2K4 is more realistic overall than both WSB 2K3 and MLB 2K5.
LIGHTNING and wildcatchild, I agree with you guys wholeheartedly. Its nice to know that a few people out there "get it."

Hopefully, someone will create a roster update for last year's 2K4.

While I enjoyed WS 2K3 - it's not the pinnacle that some have suggested. I thought MVP 2004 and 2005 were better. I also feel MLB 2K5 surpases it in every way short of the glitches.

I played WSB2k3 until this past fall, thought it was Fantastic, but now after playing MVP'05 cant go back, the animations are fantastic in MVP and with tweaking gameplay. If it had MLB2k5's presentation it would be the best baseball game period.
