Took RANGE/ANTICIPATION to 8/8. Left the ARM STRENGTH/ACCURACY in the 55-60/50 range because I noticed that lower numbers resulted in some weak pick off throws.

I played and exhibition game with the Phils/Mets, only batted, and just bunted away and it's SO much better.

Hopefully I can have my LAST (fingers crossed) roster out in a few days and the edits will be reflected in the pitcher attributes.

Hi Jim416 , I only reduced Pitchers Fielder range & Anticipation to 1 / 1 ratings
and have had the best results after 10 game off bunting everyway and smashing pitches up the middle .
Fielders now get to the ball after it gets pass the pitchers mound , Pitchers now cover 3rd on a bunt with men at 2nd and 1st . I have seen the 2B man cover first on a bunt too .
All the edits MLB Pitchers only took me less than 2 hours . I also dont feel this makes them all generic fielders either. Pitchers like Hampton still have their glove , arm and speed rating .
I played a few games with a good defensive pitcher and one with a bad glove and saw the difference big time . The one with the bad glove nearly got hit twice and bobbled a smash but recovered , Hampton played like hampton it was like two different pitchers !
I just feel that if FLD range or FLD anticipation is any higher than one it wont give the best results , remember these are uber fielding pitchers thats why the Infielders would never react to hits or bunts because the pitcher had everything covered .

Thanks, and you're right. The GLOVE/ARM STRENGTH/ACCURACY stay the same and RANGE/ANTICIPATION to 1/1. I was reluctant to run it down that far, but, it works. I'm doing the entire ML for my roster. It does make a difference. I'm even seeing the pitcher boot some smashes, I guess because his ANTICIPATION rating is low. In one game he booted one into foul territory.

The results are amazing but pitchers like Glavine still play like real life .
I had a few shots threw the pitchers legs and Pedro did a bull fighter move Ole"

Man, you don't realize what Knight and I did last year to get ASB playing a far better game than what came out of the box. It was worth it with that game.

For this one....I'm immersed in it. I was listening and laughing to some of the custom player soundtracks today. I love the atmosphere and the gameplay is sharp.

This game should be fantastic next year, but....we all know that the developers can, and will mess up a good thing at times. Hope they do what's right by this game.

I loved ASB intil they made it impossible to manage the rosters of all teams what a nightmare unplayable for me but what a great game !
The develpers must give total roster freedom its the very basic need

I did some tests. Here is what i came up:

I went to edit Jason Schmidt, SP for the Giants, and put the Range at 9, Anticipation at 1, Speed at 14 and let the throwing power and accuraccy where it was.
I have the fielding agression at 50 and the throwing agression at 50 also.

I got some good results. The 1b and the 3b charge in on rollers.

But i noticed somethings. With pitchers that delivers the pitch fast, do not have a long stretch, like Schilling, this does not work. I could get good results with Jason Schmidt and Pedro Martinez, but not with Schilling and Jerome Williams.
They always go and get the ball. If i bunt towards 1B they will get the ball and tag the runner out. If it's towards 3B they will throw them out.

Another thing is that when the Pitchers don't get the ball the 3B is to lazy and the runners is often safe on the 1B.
The 3B doesn't get the ball with their bare hand.
I was playing with the Red Sox to test it against Schmidt and i could load the bases and score 2 or more runs everytime i did that test.

If i notice some more i will post here.
