First, some have found that lowering arm strength, range and anticipation for fielders have resulted in seeing more animations in the field for throwing and fielding the ball, mainly among infielders. I have lowered the ratings for all fielders (not including pitchers) in those 3 areas by 20 points each, and I am seeing more animations in the field.
Secondly, it seems that having Fireworks on will negate stadium-specific HR celebrations. I only noticed this in Houston w/ the train, though. After hitting a HR w/ fireworks on, I noticed no train went by. I turned the option off and saw a quick cutscene of the train moving after a HR. Maybe this applies to other stadiums that have HR specific stadiums.
The third and most interesting of the "four" happened when I went into the Xbox panel options menu and changed the visual screen. You have three options - normal, letterbox and wide screen. Well, let me tell you, I switched the angle from normal to wide screen and the game looks very different, at least on my 20 inch TV. It’s like adding more “zoom out” (about 25%) to the camera angles. It’s most significant when playing BTP cam (The pitcher appears to be a lot further from the batter!) For those like me who weren’t exactly happy with the cameras being so close, you’ll probably be playing the game on widescreen from here on out.
Fourth, I want to confirm what someone posted a few days ago about the foul ball cam. They claimed to see the camera switch to the foul ball cam on a fly ball hit down the line but that the ball stayed fair and went for a HR. I was skeptical b/c many, many times I got that camera angle and each time the ball curved foul or took that drastic, last-second turn foul. Anyways, I had a righty hit it down the left field line and the camera cut to the “foul-ball” cam, but the ball stayed fair and went for a HR. Pretty cool, and I hope there are more HR cutscenes that happen like that, where we cut to the cinematic camera angle before the ball goes out the park.
