MLB 2007 and Nintendo Pennant Chase Baseball will most likely also be out next year, but this will probably be the only game for Xbox.

And I don't think we're in trouble. I mean, I honestly didn't like the fact that they switched to a different team only 2 years before the new consoles come out, and only giving them a 12-month project. If in fact they gave them 24 months, there would be absolutely NO problem (or no excuse for a problem) in this game. I'm waiting until next year to see if moving towards Kush was the right move. We will just wait and play our games until then.

Yknow...i would agree with you on that Blzer, that we need to give them a chance, but there has been a gamebreaker in almost every 2k game released this year, hockey being the lone exception.

That doesnt signal good things for me, at all.

First of all, I'm not in trouble. I love this game.

I gotta agree with BigTim. I have been playing these games for years. If I could sit the developers down and slap them I would tell them to GIVE US THE DOGGONED GAME OF BASEBALL FIRST, then put the other crap in, if you have time. I love the potential of this Kush game. I love this game after tweaking it, but, I hold no hopes that they won't screw something up next year by either taking something out that already works, or adding something new that doesn't even work. I don't want a Skybox. I don't want to build a stadium, etc., etc. I want solid gameplay. But, they don't listen to me. Not even my dog, LOL.

I agree that we need to give this game one more shot. This is essentionally the first game in the series that should be compared to MVP 2003 not 2005. There are a lot of really good things about this game. The big thing that I think they need to work on is the hitting system, the bat-ball collision detection is pretty bad. They also need to work on fielding, its rather boring and the fielder throwing is very bad as well.
I for one will give this game another chance next year.

I agree with all of your points to a certain extent. The thing that is so frustrating to me is that whether or not they've been working on this title for two years or two days, some of the stupid little things that need to be fixed are so obvious and seem to be easy to fix and they've gone untouched.

I am ok with the swing animations and the player models, but the pop fly throws and the horrible camera angles are inexcusable. I can't for the life of me figure out why or even how this gets by in the testing stage. It's unacceptable. I am also not impressed with the AI. I have yet to see a sacrifice bunt in 20 or so games. The infielder AI when throwing to the right base is horrid and I constantly see pitchers swinging at 3-0 pitches. I'm sorry but NONE of this happens in MVP. Example, runners on first and second, ground ball to first, the firstbaseman immediately throws the ball to third. Another example, runners on first and third, ground ball to the pitcher, he throws to second and the second baseman then throws home. I'm open to suggestions as far as slider settings to fix the aforementioned problems, but it's just a little frustrating to see things like this that could have been cleared up in a week. All they needed to do was push the release date back.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and this is why we write on these forums. With that said, I love this game more than MVP. I have not encountered a 1/16th of the issues some of the gamers on this site have written about. I have used the sliders provided in the game and I have not had any problems. I consistently have realistic scores of 2-1, 5-2, etc... In my opinion, the game is fun, energetic and great to look at. MVP is boring to me. I love the camera angles in the game. I get the feeling I am on the field while watching the game. I guess we just have to play what we will enjoy.

Pushing the release date back a few days or two weeks does not help on the back end. Once they begin working on the game, it goes through a process cycle. If the issues are not addresses from the beginning to the middle of the cycle, it will typically not be addressed until the next iteration. The one real problem with the game is the transition animation for the fielders. They are not very good at all. Take 2 has a great foundation and next year should be a damn near perfect game.

                        Enjoy.

If next year's game is as buggy as this year's then we're in trouble. I'm willing to give Kush the benefit of the doubt here. I just hope they keep the K-Zone pitching next year.
