The problem is this though: MVP03 was itineration #1 of that game, whereas this is like MVP02, if there was one.

MVP started off with a good foundation, MLB was kind of cracked. So now we are looking at one more year of fixing problems for a previous game, instead of advancing from there.

IMO, T2 should never have jumped the gun in getting the sole license. This could really end up backfiring in their face.

I mean, at least Madden is playable, in the strict sense of the word. There are no lock-ups, no passed ball type sitauations. You know going into next years NFL game that the only one isnt going to have literal gameplay issues. Sure you might not like the flow of the action, but all of the stupid bugs have been worked out.

Madden will VERY likely regress in the years to come because they have NO competition. Take Two has competition and they are under pressure to make a decent baseball game and this bodes well for baseball gaming. Too bad this is not so for football.

Madden still has sales quotas to meet.

If it doesnt meet those, then they arent getting their full money out of it.

You guys really need to understand business, this game isnt a necessity. Therefore they still need to do something. Thats where the govt steps in. When something has an entire market cornered(and one NFL game does not a market make, im talking the ENTIRE gaming industry). If they release a game that people see and say, meh, I can wait til next year, then they have not served their purpose.
