I was under the impression that there wasn't a fixed one either. Some people are having no limits. So I am not sure, but I can say I don't think a hard limit was put into place.

In my opinion that doesn't make sense to me. How can some gamers get the edit limit message while others not? I haven't seen "ONE" single report of gamers being able to edit all the player names they want. This just seems like false information.

I have asked him to give us the truth here. He can get the answers that we need. Either it can be fixed or it can't be fixed.

It shouldn't be a problem in the first place.

I completely agree with you. I've put up with this crap for the last 3 years. Yeah, they're doing a better job this year than they ever have, but you're right, this shouldn't be a problem. I just don't see how I can get this game if this isn't fixed.

Ronnie's answer is a load of dung... They're on top of things as they are reading what's being posted. They know it's an issue and are just looking the other way.

What his answer didn't say is that we all just got the proverbial middle finger...it's not going to get fixed.

I agree with ya. Ronnie is just beating around the bush & trying to keep us from seeing the inevitable. He makes a statement about some gamers not getting the limit message?

I've not seen any reports of people editing as many as they want either. It's a load of garbage. I'd bet that this problem isn't addressed/fixed. This will be my last time getting this game period.

Hey guys,
Know this has been a point of contention so the dev team wanted to clear this up. There is a limit of 150 players that can be edited as it stands now. The reasons for that are extensive, but the dev team is looking at this for the next patch to see if it can at least be expanded. It's not confirmed that they'll be able to do that, but they are investigating how to do so without hurting the overall experience. Thanks.

I'd about bet it will not be fixed. Why say "extensive"? Just tell us why & quit beating around the bush 2K Sports. This is ridiculous!

There is absolutely NO reason to have a edit limit. Period. These devs really need to not only play the game they develop but also other sports games. How could anyone in their right mind think an editing cap would be a good idea?

Shhh guys! We need to start talking with out wallets instead of coming to places like this to give them a piece of our minds.

I still have an unopened copy of this game. I was waiting for word on this edit limit issue. Well, we now know it stands at 150 right now.

Unless this is "expanded" by quite a bit then I'm getting my money back soon. 2K Sports will not see me buying another copy of the MLB 2K series again either.

Telling us it's a memory thing is ridiculous. The PS2 version didn't have memory problems. How could the 360/PS3/PC version have these player edit limits? It's not true!

tony... it's just like madden. it doesn't work... people buy this game and then realize they later don't want it. it's stupid people like me that buy the hype. but you are right...money talks.

After being disappointed with the 2k8 offering and getting very little gameplay out of it (too many glitches in Franchise, my favorite part of the game), I decided to rent before buying 2k9. Glad I did, as the reviews revealed 2k9 to be a dud. Saved my $60 last year...

Then I bought the hype of a much-improved game this year and bought 2k10. While the game play and new features like My Player are a new twist on the game, I still find myself limited on franchise (roster edit limits, CAP limits, no updated minors from 2k7/2k8, inaccurate salaries, etc.). Wishing I had waited to see how things shake out with the patches before I'd dropped my cash on another disappointing game, which is what this one could become should the major problems not be addressed.

I still have an unopened copy. I will be taking my back to get the money back if the player CAP issue isn't fixed/expanded. I really only bought the game due to the improved gameplay from demo & the biggest reason was for Sean(game developer) stating we had "NO CAP" limits for MLB 2K10.

Boy, was that a big fat lie. NO CAP turned into the same 150 limit we had with MLB 2K9. They like to tell us what we want to hear to make our wallets open & their bank accounts "expand".
