Hey guys I talk to ron on a usual basis thru emails. I will see what i can find out. Also i know last year it was like this every roster update has a different edit limit. What i would suggest is either form default set there on about 3 teams or so and edit single a,double for a few teams maybe use the same name over and over liek i did last year to see what the limit is for each update. I did roger clemens on about 4 teams.

Also just a hunch but with AUTO SAVE on is what im thinking makes the game recongnize our editing,has anyone did edits with autosave complete off? as u notice when its on everytime you are done with and edit it will auto save im wondering if itss sending info on the disk and are we get charged and edit when all we do is change a hersey number etc...height wieght instead of just a name?

The edit limit omnly pertains to name changes & not other things about a player with MLB 2K10. So changing jersey numbers,height,& weight has no bearing on the edit limit with MLB 2K10. There shouldn't be anything counted towards an edit for anything other that name changes is what I'm trying to say here.

BTW harsh, I responded to your 58 player edit limit in your thread over at 2K Sports.

well, if he doesnt get back to you today, he's going to be at spring training tomorrow i believe. He also has other things to do then to reply back to your email. edit. actually he was there friday, i guess it got moved.

Imma have a talk with him about this and see what he says.

Edit- Well, he just told me that its going to be expanded and it could ultimately be eliminated. As the patch gets closer he will know more info from the developers.

The only question I would have is if Ron would know whether or not all the work the guys have done on rosters so far will be able to be incorporated into any new format that might come from expanding or eliminating the edit limits? In other words will we have to start over with a patch that provides more edits? Thx.

If this is true then why hasn't Ronnie posted it then? He told us the team thought it could at least be expanded. If he had real answers then I do believe he would update his sticky thread over at 2K Sports confirming this can be done. I'm not saying I don't believe you but why hasn't he responded back to let us know?

i never said it was anything further, but he told me he answered it with that.

They have to have the patch out in order to allow more. We all know the issue, now we have to wait. Once Ron goes and gets more info from the dev's about the patch, i am sure questions will be answered.

I know you just posted what you knew here om these forums. My point was that over at 2K Sports forums Ronnie had already relayed the same information to us before your post. That information I believe was already posted in this thread about what Ronnie had told us.

I'm also not so sure that Ronnie or anybody else will give us 100% answers either. I'm going by the past on this. Granted, Ronnie did place a sticky about this on the 2K Sports forums so hopefully that means there will be no ignoring this issue & he'll give us more details soon.

I would think by now after 1 week since he started that sticky he'd know what was gonna be done. I'm not saying he should come out & tell us right now but an update about this would be nice. I guess what I'm saying is that he should know whether this problem is gonna definitely be fixed/addressed & whether the CAP limit is just gonna be "expanded or "eliminated" all together. He should no one way or the other by now.

I know when the patch notes get released we'll have our answers but they shouldn't keep us waiting about this. They don't have to tell us the exact details. Just let us know for sure if they can help us out with this by making the CAP limit more manageable for us.

I'd hate it come time for the patch & all of a sudden they couldn't help us out at all which wouldn't surprise me with 2K Sports. I'm just basing this all on past support for this game. They seem to wanna keep consumers in the dark.

Anyhow, not trying to sound like I'm pointing to you as a problem either. I appreciate you trying to help out over here as well. It's no secret from me. I've been sounding off my frustrations about this part of the game since release. However, I've done it in an adult way & not acting like a kid about it either. Thanks! :wink:

Ok, I'm confused. KC are you saying that your quote was simply repeating what Ronnie wrote in his sticky on this issue over at 2K? If so, that is not entirely correct. The truth is your quote was much more certain than his.

Ronnie over there wrote: "...they are relatively certain that they can extend the editing limit in the next patch and are going to attempt to do so." I take note of the words "relatively certain" and "attempt." Those words speak to me of possibility or at best probability.

However, KC's quote is much more certain... "that its going to be expanded and it could ultimately be eliminated." That speaks of the fact it is going to be expanded. In my mind two different intents...

That was kind of my point as well. Is it confirmed this can be done or is it not a given at this point in time? We should know something by now & not if it's "relatively certain" or not.
