Really appreciate the work you guys have put in, I'm really a stickler on rosters and having updated ones is what bring me back to playing it.

I'm hoping you guys keep the excellent work up into 2013 since there's no new game this year. Many props and respect for the hard work put in.

I'm excited for the finished roster so I can try out the 2013 Phillies.

I'm weird. I like the most updated rosters, but I like a couple computer trades as well to make things interesting.

Bretsky... can Fausto Carmona's name be changed to "Roberto Hernandez"? I believe I saw today he signed with the TB Rays. Wasn't sure if the Reditor allowed this or not (though I'm guessing not). Looking forward to the next update, and very much appreciate your time on this!!

When you post the next update, I'd be happy to do any work you want done...

His name can be changed and so can the audio.

They still say Fausto Carmona at the start of the game when Thorne is talking about the starting pitcher but throughout the rest of game he refers to him as Hernandez and so does the PA announcer (if you can hear him). The intro audio must come from a different source than the in game stuff.


Giancarlo is in the name list as well. Although I see 2K's latest roster lists Stanton by that name in their latest roster. Do they call him Giancarlo when using the last official roster? I haven't listened myself.

I got thinking later that I suppose the announcers will say any name that is made or changed as long as it's listed in the name database. Fausto Carmona is kind of a special case because by changing his audio id your not affecting any other names unless there is another Fausto or Carmona in the game.

well, that would be more suited for your person Association Mode, and not a roster file. As far as "removing" players - not sure what you mean by that. The file Bretsky is using is from my final 2012 roster - It includes well over 200 top prospects, and EVERY player that made it to an MLB roster last year, along with a lot of key guys who played AAA ball. Having pulled off 20+ rosters from 2K Share just yesterday (from those who "claim" they have updated offseason rosters) I can confirm they are each a load of crap, and don't have anything even close to what we're doing here.

Again, patience will be the key as these rosters will be fluid all the way up to Opening Day. The amount of transactions taking place will take a long time to get totally updated. If you want a "quick fix" then grab one of those lousy rosters from 2K Share who did a few things and posted them... or ...be patient and hang tight for what will be provided here.

As for 2K Share rosters and stuff ... that doesn't surprise me. Can't (and wouldn't) download them anyway because I still don't own MLB 2K12. Waiting on yours/Bretsky's rosters.

And for "deleting" players, I meant ... what do you do with retired players? Those that go to Japan?

I tried to make custom rosters for MLB, AAA, and AA and I just had finished when 2k sports overwrited it with their October roster.

Just something I've been wondering -- how do you remove players form rosters? Do you change all of their stats to 0 and make their names blank and just leave them in the game as "ghosts" that nobody will sign, or is there actually a way of deleting them?

Yes you can delete them with REDitor i believe

Same here, i always start over when there is a new transaction. You would think 2K would help out a bit, but they wont get of their buts for mlb. They even have terrible basketball. WE NEED MVP BASEBALL

To help fuel my excitement to get a legit 2013 franchise season going, I played a 3 game series using my Nats and playing the Los Angeles Angels of New York (C WUT I DID THAR) using MK's sliders no less.

Anyways, lets just say going through that lineup, from Trout all the way down to Trumbo, not easy. Thats with using Strasburg, Gio, and Danny Haren.
Keep up the good work guys, I am super stoked.

Everybody's complaining about Sanchez but I stand by thinking it's a fair deal. Greinke isn't extraordinarily better than Sanchez, but he's making a bit less than TWICE as much. "SANCHEZ HAS NEVER PITCHED 200 INNINGS" but he's done 195+ a big number of times. 16mil is a lot of money. I'll only resent the signing if the Tigers can't sign Verlander and Cabrera.

Excited for next season, even if the Tigers make no more moves.

4 pitch mix: low 90's fastball, changeup, slurve, curveball - solid command, but not overpowering. Had Tommy John surgery in high school, so this needs to be noted in his attributes.

I'd use an existing Asian pitcher model - make sure he throws left-handed.
