Contracts - alot of the contracts are wrong years and $$$. I can knock it out in about a night and reupload with the same title if you guys think it would be a good idea.
My idea would be to include arbitration years for the same amount of money, i.e Drew Storen is arbitration eligble this year so on 2k12 i would just tack on another year for the same amount he made in 12' for 13'.
Also I would NOT include option years, i.e Adam LaRoache had an option this year that he rejected so he became a free agent. In the game I would just make him a free agent this year regardless.

    Thoughts?
You could do that if you'd like. I have'nt touched any contracts thought yet as I was working to make it play now first, and then franchise later. PM me if your'e really interested

      Re: Updated Rosters--- 2k12

First of all, props for doing the rosters. I attempted doing them myself, but early in the process, I decided ... I did NOT have the time. It takes some serious dedication to do ... especially in the offseason when there's so much happening.

      I had a few questions.

1.) Are these added to my 360 using the same process as mkharsh33 has said in his thread?
2.) [This is a stupid one.] I guess the way you've worded it is confusing to me. Are only the Angels, Astros, A's, Jays, and Braves the only teams with fully updated rosters? I ask because it says all the teams are updated, but then I don't get why it just lists those teams specifically.
3.) [A dumber one, as I haven't played MLB 2K12 in months now.] If I were to download, say, the DEC12 roster and then want to download the JAN13 roster but had started a career/franchise with the DEC12 roster, could I somehow import that JAN13 roster into that career/franchise, or would that new roster only be useful for "Play Now" games and such?

I think that's all I wanted to ask...

I'm gonna be buying MLB 2K12 again really soon since I've learned that there won't be a 360 baseball game next year, and I don't want to pay $300 to get a PS3 just for The Show.

Again, I haven't tried out your rosters yet, but I will be in <7 days or so. Thanks for taking the time!

(Same goes for mkharsh33 and anybody else that's contributed.)

        Re: Updated Rosters--- 2k12

just use 2K Share - and download the file I posted. in "most downloaded" it's the 3rd highest file - so download it, save it, load it, rename it to "rosters 2013" and then save it again. you can now delete the 2k share file and keep your roster file.

remember that this is PRE-winter meetings, so a ton of moves will have to be made. the demo file he provided only had a few teams for "play now / exhibition" use. there's still a LOT to be done, so this is in the VERY EARLY stages of being done.

I would strongly suggest to NOT begin an association mode - and if you do start one, you canNOT enter the newer rosters in. the association starts with the file you began with and it's a separate file from rosters.

be patient on this. he'll continue to add the moves being made, and a ton more will be forthcoming... this is only to hold you over for awhile...

          Re: Updated Rosters--- 2k12

I'm already familiar with the amount of time it takes to get the rosters right. I spent an hour or so yesterday trying to list all of the off-season changes in a way that I could set myself up to do the changes in-game by myself.

          Uh... yeah...

If/when I download these rosters, I'd donate something. A lot of work goes in.

You don't have to donate. Just enjoy the rosters

Even if you charged a buck for each download, you'd make a couple grand!

Disappointed that EA won't make an MLB game for the 360.. oh well. Better something than nothing.

Still waiting on the Tigers to trade Boesch, Peralta, Porcello, Castellanos, and Rondon for Tulowitzki and Betancourt.

I'm guessing that your joking about that trade right? Not sure if the Tigers would even have the pitching prospects to trade for Tulowitzki.

I had seen in an earlier post that someone wanted to make a list of all the roster moves happening in the offseason, I have already made an excel spreadsheet with all this kind of information uploaded into it, and if you want I can put it on here to help you guys out

I am providing Bretsky with non-stop excel sheets from www.mlbdepthcharts.com with EVERY move being made. I also have given him the site www.mlbtraderumors.com - which provides up to the second transactions, both major and minor league moves. He's been saturated with stuff... We're keeping on top of things, and more files will be made available. I've probably sent him 10+ emails in just the last 2 weeks or so with everything, so we want all of you guys to rest assured that we're on top of stuff, and some patience is appreciated. I'll continue to work with Bretsky on things as well, since the base file is my last one from the 2012 season. We'll look into the Rule 5 picks (who might stick) as well as any new players not currently on the file. The goal is to keep this game alive and well...

MLBTR is a great site. I find myself going there at least 3-5 times a day.

Waiting all patient like for this next full roster update and I'll probably download that one and just do the major trades/signings myself in my franchise. For the first time ever, I feel like playing a baseball game in the winter.

Not really joking. It's a loooooong shot, but I don't think it's nearly as unfair as many people think. Porcello would likely do well at Coor's Field because he's a ground ball pitcher, Boesch may need a change of scenery, Castellanos is one of baseball's top prospects (though not TOO high up there), Rondon has a high risk/high reward thing going for him, and Peralta's a respectable shortstop.

Tulowitzki is what he is. He's a great player, but he does have some injury issues. Betancourt would fill the Tigers' need for a closer.

                      Austin Jackson
                      Troy Tulowitzki

                      Prince Fielder
                      Victor Martinez
                      Torii Hunter
                      Andy Dirks/Avisail Garcia
                      Alex Avila
                      Omar Infante

I can dream, can't I? To be honest, I may have a "realistic" franchise, but then see what the Rockies say in-game about a trade like that, and allow computer trades. After all, it is a video game, right?

I'm basically typing to myself. I feel bad for anybody that wasted their time reading this post.

Again, thanks a lot guys for the roster updates! It's saving me $300+, so I don't have to get a PS3 and The Show.

No, BUT - all you need to do to rid yourself of this problem (and not need to turn off your internet) is to delete your SETTINGS file in your 360 storage saves. When you start the game up be sure to turn ON the rosters but turn OFF auto-save.

It will then go through a lengthy process of updating the MLB Today schedule each time you put your game in, but the problem will be gone.

I think we can all agree 2K has given up on this title, and that we're on our own...

Not possible with xbox only PC. The roster file itself doesn't contain the player portraits.
