Are you planning a roster update because I have franchises where i was counting on guys to be good where then I get there and there are batting a weak 250 average when they should be maybe 280 strong hitters like solano on miami or Cardenas and theriot in fa also look at cardinals farm

I recommend taking off the dynamic ratings, players tend to play closer to their ratings. However, it's not far off to have off years once in a while.

Ur right my oh am I a buffoon... Kyle Gibson for the twins shouldn't be 3 stars as I do believe he is a top 100 prospect if I am not mistaken

I guess he could be a 4 star, but I don't know. I haven't seen him on any top 100 lists. The website I used projected him as nothing higher than a number 3 starter. So, where would you put that star wise?

Most guys that are 3 starters aren't sub 80 in less the team is rebuild or tooling I mean this right now he came back from tj surgery and that changes him from what everybody thought he'd be out of Missouri behind Aaron crow but he is still doing good I mean he has a 2.7 bb/9 and a 7 - 5 record with 15 games started then got called up but I mean it can go both ways but ppl coming off tj surgery do different like you can come back and be like wainwright or yogi can come back and have ur career ended and in the 21 century tj surgery hasn't effected a bunch of pitchers ie bundy Strasberg and more

I never said anything about Tommy John surgery, but I agree, it affects people differently. The science has improved behind it, so players can get back to their norms. I was asking the question, where you would rate a player that has the upside of a pitcher that's projected no higher than 3rd in the rotation?

4 stars because if he would not had tj surgery a 5 star but I mean if you keep him 3 I would understand because the twins really don't develop pitchers who become 3rd in the rotation. I'm curious though why is Jose altuve 4 stars

I have changed Gibson to a 4 star. I have most SP prospects as 4 stars. I think Altuve is a 4star player. I don't see him getting significantly better. I feel as though this is the kind of player he is and always will be. That's not necessarily a bad thing. I just wish he would play better defense, since he isn't very good.

Yeah I think there isn't much fielding growth for em either. I would dh him if I were the astros manager. I see him gaining more plate discipline but that's it and what are ur thoughts on puig

I wouldn't DH Altuve, he doesn't hit well enough for that position. His defense isn't so bad that he deserves to not be played. His offense is good enough to make up for it. He can become a 2-3 win player in a few years, if he can bat .300.

I don't know about Puig, yet. There's just not enough information. His BABIP is .462 and that is not sustainable. Experts say that it takes about 500 PA to get a good grasp on what kind of player someone will be. I think it is safe to say that he is going to be really good, though. I would probably rate him as a 5-star, but I probably wouldn't create him as a high-80s or above player.
