Yeah that first game was at Coors. I thought about the possible Coors Field effect but didn't think they'd put it in the game, but ya never know.

      Reds 1R 4H 0E
      Bucs 0R 3H 1E

      Pitching Line:
      Reds - Eric Milton 9IP, 3H, 0R, 0ER, 0BB, 6K

      Bucs - O. Perez 8.2IP, 4H, 1R, 1ER, 1BB, 7K
      - Ian Snell 0.1IP, 0H, 0R, 0ER, 0BB, 0K

For some reason the cpu took O. Perez out of the game with only 1 out left after pitching a gem of a game and showing no signs of letting up on the last out. There was a great cut scene of the fans cheering Perez's performance, and Perez came out of the dugout and tipped his cap. Nice touch! I could'nt get a hit to save my life. Almost all of my offensive damage was done in the first inning with Griffey getting a sac fly rbi. That was the only run needed to win the game. I came close to hitting one out with Adam Dunn though.

I think the human pitcher stamina may be a little high. I was putting a lot of effort on the pitches and still had almost 30% going into the 9th, while the cpu pitcher was down around 12%. Still could'nt hit him though. Will play another game and see how it goes.

How many pitches did Milton thrown?

I haven't played there yet. But would be interesting to see. But, like I said, some games at Wrigley they have the wind blowing out to right big time and if you get one up there it's GONE.

When I was testing these one game it seemed like it was a longball fest. Then a pitchers duel. Then I realized....that's baseball. I dont' want every game being 4-3.

Like an idiot, I completely forgot to get the total pitches thrown. I would like to know myself.

Re: Jistic's MLB 2K6 Custom Sliders (Xbox)

It's disappointing that the game doesn't save linescores or box scores for the past games.

I finally got a home run! I saw the pitch was coming right down the middle, so I held up on the left stick and crushed one with Ryan Howard. There were actually 5 HRs in the game (the most I had previously was 1), but unfortunately the other 4 were for my opponent. D'oh!

So far I'm liking these sliders a lot. I've won 8-0 & 1-0 and lost 7-1. I've had one game with a bunch of hits, one with a handful per team and one with a mixture. The 8-0 game was a complete game shutout, while the 7-1 game I got bombed early. The middle game I drew 3 walks and the last game I drew 2, which is great. I usually have trouble drawing any at all in games.

I'll keep on going and see if the good feeling continues. So far, so good.

I have to hit the sack so I'm saving my game in the 7th inning. Thought I'd make an update. This is my second game and it's totally different than the first.

              7th inning
              Cubs 2R 9H 2E
              Reds 5R 8H 0E

              Pitching Line:
              Reds - Aaron Harang 6IP 8H 2R 2ER 1BB 4K
              - Chris Hammon (No stats, just entered game)

              Cubs - C. Zambrano 4IP 4H 4R 1ER 1BB 1K
              - Wade Miller 1.2IP 4H 1R 1ER 1BB 0K
              - Bob Howry (No stats, just entered game)

I've seen it all in this game. A double in the gap by both teams, a stolen base by both teams. I threw out 1 baserunner, and I totally threw wide right on two steal attempts. A home run by Junior.

For the most part I'm loving these sliders. One thing I am wondering about is the setting for swinging at balls/stikes when behind in the count. For me at least, if I get ahead 0-1 on a hitter there's about a 90% chance I'm striking him out on 3 pitches. Great sliders so far.

The error settings concern me too. Zambrano is credited with only 1ER but that's crap. I scored 2 runs on close plays at the plate. Both times the ball bounced away from the catcher as a I was sliding across homeplate. I would have been safe both times, so I don't see how that should be ruled an error.

I'm officially no longer worried about HRs with these sliders. I hit 3 in my next game, and one was without doing anything with the left stick.

Unfortunately my closer proceeded to give up a 2-run HR in the bottom of the 9th to blow the save and the game. Ouch. Daryle Ward is absolutely killing me in this series - yet he wasn't even the one who hit the game winner. But he does have 3 HRs in 2 games against me so far.

Re: Jistic's MLB 2K6 Custom Sliders (Xbox)

Wow, I just had a game where I drew 8 walks, only one of which was intentional. This included 5 in 1/3 of an inning by Isringhausen. He came in with a 3-run lead during the top of the 8th while I had a runner on 2nd. He intentionally walked one guy to set up the force, then the floodgates opened. He walked 2 batters (walking in a run), then threw a wild pitch to score another, then walked 2 more to walk in yet another run! That allowed me to tie the game at 5 and then I ended up winning 6-5 by getting a run in the top of the 9th.

I haven't read up on all the bugs, of which there appear to be many, but is there some kind of steals bug? In this game I was credited with 13 steals! I know of only one for sure that I stole, and there may have been one more, but 13?!? No way. It must be counting advances on extra base hits or something? Does anyone know? Weird.

I just finished another game and remembered to stay on the box score screen long enough to report some pitching stats.

(Keep in mind that I did a fantasy draft franchise, so the players might look strange.)

                      Blue Jays - 2R 9H 0E
                      Red Sox - 4R 10H 0E

                      Starting pitchers
                      TOR - Rich Harden, 5.0 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 3 K, 70 pitches (23 B, 47 K)
                      BOS - Russ Ortiz, 7.0 IP, 8 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 0 BB, 4 K, 73 pitches (23 B, 50 K)

Is anyone seeing home plate being stolen waaaay too much?

I'm playing another game with these sliders and this is the second time the AI has tried to steal home on me (and unfortunately was succesful both times. I sort of got mixed up and was used to throwing to second when ever the little icon popped up)

Really? I haven't seen it once. That slider is on default anyway. I did have a game where the CPU had a bug up its *** to steal 3rd at almost every opportunity but never home.

BTW I have made some tweaks that I'm really liking but not quite where I want to be yet. I should have something in a day or two. Until then I appreciate all the feedback.

That's good, these are a great base so far.

I dunno whats up with stealing home though. It's ridiculous. I'm going to have to turn it down. Besides that, it was Jason Kendall who stole it!

Anyway, played another game, here's the line

                              Oakland: 5 9 1
                              St.Louis: 8 14 0

I used STL, and Oak stole 5 bases on me. A little unreleastic seeing as though their whole team philosophy discourages stealing.

The starters were Zito and Mulder.
                              Zito: 5 1/3 6 hits 4 K's 75 pitches thrown

Mulder: 6 IP 7 hits 2 K's and 85 pitches thrown. I would have tried to ride him a little more but he was down to about 8% when I took him out. And I don't really juice the pitching meter that much either.

Only thing I'd like to maybe see change is the opposing pitch count/stamina. Although I had Zito on the ropes a few times so that could be why he was taken out when he was.

Re: Jistic's MLB 2K6 Custom Sliders (Xbox)

Hmm, I tested these sliders. Used the Angels vs the Royals. Now, I know, it's the Royals, haha. I'm testing them later on on a tougher team, but just to grasp the feeling of it.

                                I won 14-2.

                                Royals: 2 / 11 / 1
                                Angels: 14 / 23 / 1

The game was actually kinda close for the first few innings. Then, the floodgates opened as soon as I could hit, haha. The strike zone being off actually made me throw balls. I wanted to test LAA's roster, so I used their bullpen a lot.

Escobar: 58 pitches through 6 innings. 23 balls, 35 strikes.
Greinke: 53 pitches through 5 innings, 7 balls, 46 strikes. However, balls that he did throw I swung at *I'm impatient, *. So, the balls should be higher then what the statbox shows.

I wish there was a way to see reliever's box scores. Sadly just the SP's. I'll play a few more games against challenging teams as I work it up. So far, so good.

                                My next game:

                                Anaheim: 4/11/1
                                Arizona: 5/12/1

I was doing really well into my bullpen basically came into play, haha. Donnelly did good, but Shields basically blew the game. More of my own miscues though. Had two easy double play balls, and misplayed them.

I like how these feel, though. I think the computer is SLIGHTLY too agressive, because they were stealing with guys like Estrada.
