OK Guys, got my 360 back today. Played 4 games & feel these sliders play very well. Of course tweaks will be done along the way if necessary. These Sliders should be set from the LEGEND SETTING. There is a reason why I'm using Zone Pitching. I know Zone Pitching isn't for everyone. I'll just say give it a try & see how it turns out. ENJOY!!!

I agree, zone pitching is the way to go. But once again, I don't think that adjusting your sliders from any specific difficulty i.e LEGEND, makes a difference. Once you change any slider, the difficulty is custom.

if not, what adjustments do you think would be necessary?

Maybe for classic swing you could use the human hitting sliders from a classic swing slider set posted here and then use joe's sliders for everything else? You could at least use that as a base then edit them yourself and if you have questions about how to make one area harder or easier on hitting I'm sure you could ask what sliders to change up or down here. these guys here are slider pro's. Btw glad to see you back Joe. I look forward to your sliders almost as much as opening day

The results have varied. I'm not that good using the Swing Stick, so I haven't hit any homeruns. I've lost every game so far(7) Some were close, some weren't. The CPU hits vary pretty good. My hits are ground ball singles, OF Singles & some occasional gappers.

The Pitching seems to be very good, especially using Zone Pitching. Nice pitch counts, good strikeout & walks. I'm not that much of a patient hitter, so I SO much more than I should. LOL. Give em a shot & tell me what you think. Feedback is always the best way to adjust Sliders to get good results

Joe don't feel bad man it's not just you striking out. I think that the hitting is alot harder this year than last years. My strategy this year has been to get the pitcher deep into almost every count. If I am going to strike out anyway I am going to make the pitcher work to get it. If you work the pitcher you can get him to 70-80% by the 4th inning then its time to crush him. Don't swing unless you see the ball and know that where it's going and its a pitch you can handle. I have also been using contact swing more and I am getting decent results by getting the pitcher to 1-0 or 2-0 counts before swinging. The pitchers seem to like to not give you anything decent to hit till they have at least 1 ball and most of the time 2. You have 3 strikes use them and you will get better results. I am by no means an expert. I think I am up to a 2.50 overall batting average hehe. I suck but that is what is helping me get a little better. The way I see it I can only get better. Hope this helps bud.

Very cool sliders. Won a game 7-5 last night. Lots of different hit types and very exciting moments. I railroaded the catcher for my 7th run hehe. Great sliders. I think i have finally found the set for me. I even had to come from behind a couple of times. I could easily see myself losing if i was against someone better than the phillies. Totally different game.

Was able to draw 6 walks with these sliders against Barry Zito in 6 innings. That's unheard of on default.

Is that a good thing or a bad thing EW? Had a long work week, but basically I'm done with work til Tues. I basically will be playing this game a lot of the next 2 days. Guys again if there's something that's not realistic going on in your games. Please post it so WEcan work on a fix.

Thought it was awesome..sorry for not saying. There are some games where pitchers have no control and I think these sliders cover it. I don't like zone pitching but because pinpoint is too accurate, zone is the way to go this year.

If that WALK pattern is consistent we might need to look @ maybe changing some sliders around. I'm glad your enjoying your Pitching Experience. I need to take your approach @ the plate. I have no patience I strike-out too much because I have NO patience @ the plate

I'm thinking about picking up a baseball game for the 360 and from what I've read 2K7 seems to be a solid choice. I keep hearing that the game play is much better if you take control of the sliders.

Now, I'm rather new to videogame baseball, last having played MVP back on the PS2 (several years ago). With that said, I'm looking for the closest experience to realism with slider adjustments. Would you recommend I use these sliders starting off, or is this more for the experienced player?

Yeah, the best pitching I've found so far, is to leave the AI overall strikes, ahead strikes, and behind strikes sliders to default(legend). My last game against the Tigers as the O's, Bonderman pitched 7 scoreless inninges against me with pitch speed at 95 and had 27 balls, 54 strikes and walked two. Could have been more, but I struck I still walk one to two times a game. My problem is I can't hit home runs. I have my contact set at 25 and my power set at 15.

Not sure if I like this zone pitching. I cannot strike any batters out with these settings. I am also getting a lot of bloop hits while batting.
