DanSF49's Sim Sliders for Classic and Swing Stick (360)

Scrap the other Sliders that I created earlier because there are just about as realistic as you can make them, I believe. You can use them for Swing Stick or Classic Swing I have posted Contact and Power sliders for both. Also you can use Zone or Payoff Pitching. I can’t decide on the 2 of them because I like things that both interfaces offer. I other note to make here, when using Classic Swing I do not use the Left Stick at all! Don’t push up even when it’s a meat pitch. With Swing Stick I do not use the Power Swing by pushing up with the stick, I just pull back and release. By not adding the extra power to the swings you will see more realistic homerun totals. Give these a try you will not be disappointed. Provide some feedback on how it goes.

I like the look of these sliders as i'm playing with the swing stick and don't push forward to get power hits.

However i have a couple of questions -

Do you push right or left ? I don't i just pull back and release.

Can you hit hr's with these sliders ? I've not hit 1 with the stick yet in about 6 games.

Is it possible to hit hr's with non power hitters ?

Why do you have power swing at 15 ? I thought this slider was just if you push forward which you say you don't. So why have any number here ?

Sorry for all the questions but i thought i'd have to put the power value up much higher to get a hr if i wasn't going to push forward. Maybe i'm just a terrible player.

Sometimes I will push left or right but most of the time I dont. If you have problems hitting HRs you can boost up the Power slider some more. As for the Power slider if you put it at zero you will notice that it actually takes away power from normal hits so a ball that should be a rocket into the gap ends up being a base hit that drops in. And yes it is possible to hit home runs with non power guys. But I seem to be able to do that with the Classic Swing more then the Swing Stick. So the Power may need a boost if you are using the Swing Stick. I prefer the Classic Swing over the Swing Stick just because I think you see a greater variety of hits with it. Let me know how your games go.

just played a game with your sliders...very impressed.

Yanks (me) v. Detroit. Lost 3-1...no HRs. I had a few good opportunities for rallys in the 7th and 9th...SO in key at bats.

Rogers went 7 1/3 ...gave up 8 hits..1 run..4 K's

Petitte was the starter but got yanked in the 2nd after hitting 2 batters (I missed my payoff pitches). Igawa came in...lasted until the 6th gave up 3 runs. Proctor and Rivera shut down the Tigers afterwards..but Proctor had to work out of a bases loaded one out jam.

Really like the feel of the sliders...had some balls hit the OF that were singles and doubles. Some nice hit variety.

My only concern is the lack of power...but then again...I missed at least 3 fat pitches!

Any changes to these?

Seems to me that you got the same kind of great games that I have been getting. If you are lacking power I would just up the Power by increments of 5 till you get to the spot that you feel is good. The max for power though for Human should be 30 anything over that its pretty easy to blast them out without even using the power swing. Also did you see alot of foul balls? For some reason with these sliders I'm getting and realistic amount of foul balls down the line and into the stands. I haven't changed anything on these since they are playing great, but I may tweak a few things when I play tonight like Human Power/Contact. Let me know how your other games have gone with these.

I made a changed to the sliders for Classic Swing, for user Contact and Power they are both set at 25 now. I may experiment with them at 20 for contact and 30 for power tonight. Other then that I dont see the need to make anymore slider changes. Right now I'm seeing the most realistic baseball games that I have ever played and I go back to the handheld red dots baseball. LOL wow I'm getting old.

Only weird thing is that in 2 games as the Yanks...no HRs.

Just played the Braves....won 6-5 on Posada's 2 out RBI single in the top of 8th. I actually had a 5-2 lead in the 7th but A. Jones jacked his 2nd HR of the game..a 3 bagger of Proctor.

I really like the variety of hits...the hits were high 12-13...I had 8 singles and 4 doubles...but no HRs. Again, I had some fat pitches which I missed. I also like the stamina for the pitchers. Pavano threw 69 pitches by the 5th and he was in the low 40%. that sounds right to me..one a pitcher gets to 65 pitches or higher...the stamina should be under 50% and start to lose some accuracy.

anyway...just wanted to let you know...I just have to work on HRs. I purposefully don't use the L stick...just hit "A"

Glad you like them Nittany, last night I tried Contact at 25 and Power at 30. Hit only 1 HR so thats good and I was the Mets. You can try that setting and also if you are getting to many hits you can try Contact at 20 and Power at 30. Let me know how it goes

I tried your sliders and they are great. I do not know what the stats were exactly but the games were very good and fun. I still suck at hitting so I had to up the contact by 5 but other than that it is the same. I have switched to just using the A button and sometimes the left or right. Anyway, what is your opinion on using the hitters eye?

Do you guys strikeout at all with the pitch speed set at 75? I've been playing with it at 95 and I only strikeout about 4 times a game with contact at 25. I use the swing stick.

I really like these sliders apart from 1 thing. This is also probably my own fault and not the sliders.

I can't hit a HR. I've played over 5 games now and not 1 hr. I never push the stick forward or left or right. Just back and release.

Is it possible to hit ahr doing this with these sliders ? Can non power hitters ever hit a hr like this ?

If not what do you reccommend me doing to the sliders to allow this to happen ? I need a hr every now and again at least.

It may be that i'm just not very good though.

how do you change AI pitcher change speed to 75, i cant do anythinjg between 65 - 80.
