    Re: jbrown's sliders

Just played 2 good games with these sliders mixed with joes. I used your success contact power batter pitch influence. By big diff is i have hit direction at 25 not 75 even tho i dont touch the left stick unless i have too.

In both games i had 0 homeruns that came naturally. Game 1 i won 1-0 with a walkoff HR that i influenced so i could win. Game 2 i won 5-1 with again 0 homeruns

Still pretty confused on why 2K did this to this game, they took out the surprise of random homeruns, homeruns that occur when you time the pitch perfect and just turn on one. Now i hit 0 homeruns unless i try to hit one which I HATE doing and that leaves the fact that now prolly 4-5 starters on my team will have 0 homeruns for the whole season (which i play all 162 games every year in 2K games)

They are post patch sliders. But since the roster update, for some reason I don't have the same power. And I have been getting alot of extra inning games.

There was a post on 2k's forum about starting your backswing as soon as the pitcher starts winding up and waiting for the pitch. I have been going back and straight back up thinking that a fluid motion would have a greater effect and that holding back would have a negative effect.

I had some success with this in 2 practice games with the brewers. I hit a home run with Bill Hall in the first game and Corey Hart in the second game.

I will try this method for a few more games to see if it helps. They also say once you get used to it, it is easier to not swing at balls since you don't have to worry about pressing back. Kind of makes sense.
