    Re: CPU vs CPU Sliders?

First of all, You should lower Contact to 5.
Well, I didn't count homeruns and strikeouts, neither do I know the average homerun and strikeout total per game, but I think the most strikeout in a game was with Lincecum, he got 11 K's and well, the guys who kinda suck don't get many like 1-3. My last Game was Toronto @ Minnesota with Litsch vs. Baker. Baker struck our 4 in 6 inning and Litsch got 2 in 7 Innings. Homeruns feel pretty good, I had a game with 7 homers and games with none, so it varies a lot. 7 homes was in a game between two terrible pitchers so that won't happen often. It's more like I had a little too many homerless games.
Anyways, would be great if someone could comeup with a solution for that problem that batters swing at everything in the !st ot when a new reliever came in.

Walks is a ok, maybe a little low. Too many triples, but there's not much you can do about that. Number of hits is too high. In a 4-3 game I have like 10-9 hits. But it still palys realistic with these sliders.

glad to see someone is still working on CPU vs CPU sliders. I want so much for this game to work out...gonna start another season with the white sox, since somehow my other one got deleted.....i believe the most issue I've had is the lack of walks, usually 1-2 per game, between the two teams. I will post my first game stats for all to see.

          white sox 2 royals 0
Meche (royals) pitched a complete game, struck out 5 walked zero
Buerhle pitched 1.1 inning, went out with an injury. white sox relievers struck out 3 and walked zero. not one time in this game did the count go higher than 2-2, even though I did see a few 2-0 counts. the game was pretty decent overall, royals actually out hit the sox 9-6. Jenks got the save for the sox on 8 pitches, one strike out. there has got to be a way to get more walks in this game, I just don't know how to find it....

            white sox 7, royals 0

Danks pitched 6 innings, struck out 7 and walked 0. royals pitchers also walked 0 batters. white sox hit 4 hrs (3 solo) and had 15 hits to the royals 6. One thing I must note is that there were 3 seperate half innings in which the pitcher threw 3 pitches and recorded three outs. I also noted that there were 7 total 3-2 counts in this game. statistically, these sliders are doing very well, other than the lack of walks. Thome hit 2 hr's in the game, one with a 3-2 count, both to deep right field. I guess I'm just going to have to learn to live without the walks.

2 issues seem to be unfixable: Walks and the hits and runs ratio. Having 3 runs but 13 hits happens rarely in real baseball, but way too often in the game. And walks, well, guess you could turn down pitch success but then you get bad scores.
I was recently trying to increase HRs by turning up Hit success and pitch success and i do get more homers, but the results don't vary anymore. Either always high scoring with soem sliders or always low scoring with others.
So I guess unlike in MVP 05 you gotta forget about certain stats cause you can't really have it all, homers, k's, walks, realistic hit-run ratio, HBPs and have realistic and varying scores.
