Fair enough MK. I've put them both back to 50 myself. With it set low I was seeing far too many pitcher's duels. Now it seems more balanced, my last three games have ended 10-1, 8-3, 3-2. I'm really hoping to finally settle on some sliders in the next year or so....

      LOL...yeah, me too.

just played an incredible game tonight. i was the rays (shields) vs. the cpu mariners (snell) - sunday's pitching matchup.

i was down 3-0...came back and took the lead 5-3 as pena hit a 3 RBI double. went up 7-3 on a 2-run homer by longoria.

then the wheels came off. brought in howell (closer) in a non-save situation...he promptly loaded the bases as crawford dropped a fly ball for the first out, and then watched all hell break loose. griffey hit a grand slam to tie it in the 9th.

i reclaimed the lead on an RBI double by upton...only to lose 9-8 in the bottom of the tenth on all kind of miscues that aren't worth repeating here.

i'm guessing the composure thing reared it's ugly head, but it just felt like real baseball. i'll continue to monitor it, but i think i've just about settled in on my slider set and will post them after a few more test results.

anxious to see them, I'm using the ones from MK in 2k share, but I cant score at all and shut the CPU down, last game was a 2-1 win in 15 innings. sounds like the Yankees-Sox game from the other day :P

Also how can you make it so you can still unlock cards using custom sliders?

I'm pretty sure you are out of luck with the cards. Guess that's a bit of a developer oversight .

My suggestion is that if you lower the composure like suggested you alter the pitcher fatigue. Most sliders have it in the 30-40 range, I would suggest closer to 50. I have had more realistic results this way.

            Computer Pitcher
            7.2 IP, 5 Hits, 2 ER, 5 SO
            83 Pitches before being removed

            7IP, 7 Hits, 1 ER, 9 SO

            havent experienced this at all.
Ive had Brad Penny get fatigues in the 5th, Lester in the 4th. I have fatigues set at 50.
Ive seen pitchers get pulled in the 6th inning. some got pulled in the 9th. I also dont experience alot of the dink and dunks, but every game does have those type of hits.

I have learned to be patient with composure sliders at 0. The fatigue is based off of pitch count nothing else. It doesnt matter if its a no hitter or based on the amount of hits the pitcher gives up because he lost all composure.

Anyways to each his own. Ive found a set and havent changed them in 15 games now. so thats a major accomplishment in this game itself. Im also using the composure at 0 with my slider set. and I might not be as good as you all. My gaming skills may be catching up to my age.

I just finished off a 12 inning game. and it happened to be against teh Yanks, what coincidence

            RedSox 6 14 0.
            NYY 4 12 1

Yanks tied it at 4 in the bottom of the 8th. I left Okajima in at relief maybe to long. Brought in Masterson after that.

Bay hit a hr in the top of the 12th. Paplebon came in and saved it with men on 1st and 3rd 1 out. got Matsui to ground into double play to end it.

Yanks went yard twice, I went yard once. the Bay winner. there Yanks hit 3 doubles and 1 triple. I hit 4 and 2 triples or something like that

Happy Playing. Im experiencing beautiful lazy sunday afternoon type games. just enough suspense, but not the frustrated I want to throw a Yanks fan off the balcony stands type frustration, I had before.

              @Phanatic
based on what you said, I decided to pay close attention to the pitcher innings pitched.
so here is a break down of my last game against Baltimore.

              RedSox 4 9 0
              Baltimore 5 8 1

              singles 6 RedSox-3
              doubles 0 RedSox-4
              triples 1 Redsox-1
              HRS 1 RedSox-1

My staring pitcher went 1 inning. all of Baltimores runs were scored in the first. I called up a sp because 2 of my starters are injured. Bulchohtz and Beckett are on the DL. Ortiz is out for the Season. (I have a horrible record) .
My sp was fatigued in the fist inning

MY Long Reliever Bowden went 6 innings, I pitched him to the max; and Delcarmen went 1.

              Baltimore's sp went 7, rp-.2, rp -.1 closer- 1.
starter gave up 2 runs in the 7 innings. rp's gave up 2, and the closer shut it down in the 9th.

I threw 9 strike outs and Baltimore= had 12, 10 were thrown by the starter.

I threw 85 total pitches and Baltimore threw 94

Re: lower the pitcher composure to zero

                more games

                Atlanta 0 6 0
                RedSox 4 9 0

                Baltimore 3 12 0
                RedSox 8 10 2

                Rangers 9 16 0
                RedSox 1 7 0

                Toronto 8 12 0
                RedSox 6 11 0

this last game Halliday went 7 1/3 giving up 2 runs, their relievers imploded. I scored 4 runs in the 8th, I would have probably won this game but lost due to a bone headed mistake. The bases were loaded in the bottom of the 8th. I was trying to bring in Saito but accidentally hit the intentional walk button. I walked in a run, then they hit a single to push the lead to 2.

I raised pitcher fatigue to 75.

Re: lower the pitcher composure to zero

I think adjusting this slider adds a tremendous benefit to the game. ace pitchers and a game closers now pitch as they should instead of gettn shelled by juiced ai. my user composure is at 30 but the ai composure I set at 75 because in theory they are reversed. It seems to play better to me with the composures set around the "pro" level for each which is 30 for the user and 75 for the ai.
