Re: Holy Grail of Sliders for MLB 2k10
It doesn't matter, guys. I've also had pitchers with fatigue down to nothing pitch complete games. It's screwed up and a crap shoot best. The CPU logic & decision making in this game is terribly flawed...STEELERS INDIANS CELTICS

Re: Holy Grail of Sliders for MLB 2k10
After tinkering on my own for a bit, I just couldnt get a good balance down. I was either shelling the CPU every game, or I was getting hit very hard. I was using 40/100 for Human Power, but decided to bump it down to 95 like you got. Even 5 points seems to make a difference. It's also amazing how having AI Pitch Success at 70 makes hitting more challenging. I had it at 55 and was killing the CPU, until last night. Of course, the first game I played with these was the A's vs. Mariners, teams with not much power. However, it was 0-0 in the bottom of the tenth, until Corey Patterson took a fastball over the wall for a walk off homer. It felt good losing actually. I'm anxious to see what the offense is like for both Human and CPU when I play with or against teams that have good power. Even if it's low and I have to slightly adjust, I would rather have a game a little short of offense than a game that has an unrealistic amount of runs and hits. the line for last night was:
A's: 0-7-0
M's: 1-8-0Comment

Re: Holy Grail of Sliders for MLB 2k10
I finally made the switch over to classic hitting last night and it made the game a lot of fun with these sliders. I feel rewarded when I hit one out with great timing. Pitching-wise is pretty challenging as well with computer contact beefed up.
I do have a few questions though. Issue #1 is that I have found myself in a bit TOO much of a groove with hitting. I played four games, and had about 14+ hits per game. I would much prefer high single digits with the occasionally hot game.
So I lowered contact to 35, but still hit pretty well. I have my fielding set at 30 instead of 35...should I bump that up also?
Another issue is with the pitcher only walking me three times over four games. Seems that he is throwing over the middle far too often...which might be why I am getting so many hits? But then do I increase or decrease pitch success? Also, does AI pitcher compose affect how many times he throws a meatball if I have runners on base?
So basically...what is the best way to lower hits a bit and increase walks?
Like my HR totals over 4 games though...two with Votto, one with Bruce, one with Hernandez, and one with StubbsComment

Re: Holy Grail of Sliders for MLB 2k10
I just had a crazy game with these sliders... each team had over 20 hits.
Ill play another tonight and see what happens, but it seemed like hitting was far to easy while meanwhile I was getting shelled. Idk.Comment

Re: Holy Grail of Sliders for MLB 2k10
2nd game I played I won 12-2 and had 16 hits.
Ill play a 3rd game for the ultimate decision, but currently it seems that hitting is a bit too easy with these current sliders. I changed power for the user down 10 points and lowered contact down to 35, so maybe that will help.
Variety in the games was good though.Comment

dont use the L-stick. Classic hitting is great with just pressing A.Comment

Re: Holy Grail of Sliders for MLB 2k10
Allright after using swing stick hitting for about the last 2 weeks I have decided I cant stand it and I am sticking with these sliders and classic hitting. I was just not hitting any HRS with the swing stick and the hit variety was horrible. With that being said I played 3 games with this set last night and really enjoyed the games.
Game 1
CIN 7 CHI 9 10 INN.
I was down 7-3 going into the ninth and tied the game up with a 3 run bomb by Chris Dickerson. As you can see the Cubs then scored 2 in the top of the 10th for the win.
I had 14 hits while the Cubs had 16, Harang was just horrible for me allowing 6 runs in 5 innings.
Game 2
CIN 2 CUBS 5
The story of this one was Ted Lilly, he throws alot of off speed stuff and I was off balance all game. It was 2-2 through 5 but the Cubs scored 3 off of Arroyo in the top 6th to break the game open. I only had 9 hits and, no HRS but I did have 3 doubles. The Cubs had 11 hits, they did hit 2 HRS (Ramirez and Baker).
Game 3
CIN 6 FLA 3
Finally got a win! Cueto pitched a great game going 7 and only allowing 6 hits and striking out 10! I scored 5 runs in the top of the 1st off of Volstad, including a 3 run HR buy Votto.
I ended up with 14 hits while the Fish had 10.
I am now 3-5 with the Reds and I am really liking the variety of games I am getting with this slider set. There may still be a few too many hits for both me and the cpu but this is the most fun I have with this game since I have been playing it. It is nice to be able to sit on a pitch and drive it for once. With the swing stick I was only able to hit singles, no extra base hits at all. I dont mean to compare games but playing with the classic hitting reminds me of the hitting in the Show which I had always enjoyed.ND Season Ticket Holder since '72.Comment
