Yeah, thanks for that tip man, I never would have thought of that. I'm gonna test it out.

Are you completely sure about this? I have been wondering. If you found insight about it online a link we be nice. I'm curious

No links unfortunately. But if you go into every hitter's edit screen, the "out by strikeout" and "out by groundball" are present. Only in the pitcher's screens do you find the "tendency" sliders.

However, I don't think the tendency sliders do anything. I played an inning just now with the strikeout tendency at zero and the groundouts at 100--I struck out the first 3 batters. If the sliders worked, that should have been impossible. Maybe they're only for when the AI is controlling? I don't know.

You know I think you're right about this. I played a couple of games and the AI was definitely swinging and missing a lot less. I want to test it some more, though, but I think you're on to something.

One thing I will say, though, is that once you get good with the gestures, that Pitch Control slider has to come way down. I just dropped mine to 10, and the pitching was better. It forces you to throw fastballs over the plate when behind in the count because it's hard to spot breaking balls.

Anyway, good tip on not maxing the circle.

Re: USER PITCHING: INCREASING CONTACT OUTS

I'm having the exact same issue for both sides.

When I finally get the right hits numbers per games, I checked my stats. While getting almost 9 hits per game, I was striking out every 4 ABs, which is obnoxious.

While pitching, the other team was hitting .253 off of my team, but I lead the league with 10 Ks per nine innings.

The only way to decrease strikeouts is to raise the contact slider, and if you even touch the contact slider you will see hit after hit after hit.

I'm going to make a comment on it on the patch list.

Honestly, now that I think about it, it's a core problem with the game. There are far too many ground balls that find holes in the infield. I had a game where I hit a nineteen hopper to first base, but the fielder took one step and let it go by.

I've tried raising INF run speed (it's currently at 45) but that doesn't help much.

Those seem to be simming sliders.

But why would they have a groundball slider for simming purposes?
