Hey MK,

Do u know how too trigger the lead-off throw in the outfield? I see that sometimes when the ball is in the air and descending too the player, that the player gets in this running start and when he gets the ball, fires the ball into the infield. I have tried doubt-tapping buttons too bases and stuff, but nothing works. U have a idea how too trigger that animation? It seems too help the ball go faster when throwing home and trying too cut off the player at the player. Thanks!!!!!

I know the animation you're speaking of. And, it is pretty sweet and does seem to get the outfielder to get rid of the ball quicker (and it looks good).

I've found that triggers when it feels like it. I've tried setting up behind the landing circle with a preloaded throw / without preloaded throw and I have had inconsistent results at best.

Do you remember where you read that? I went through the develop diaries and didn't see anything like that. I test attributes to try to pull out those animations, like I did with NHL 2k10 Goalies....click here for a great read even if you not into hockey (SOOO MANY BEERS WERE HAD DURING MY TESTINGS>>>>>>>>>>SOOOO MANY .

I cannot seem to get realistic walk statistics, I consistently only get maybe one walk a game. What slider should I tweak to change that?

Played a great game last night with these sliders. It was Yankees @ Mets (me). The pitching matchup was Harvey vs. Kuroda.

Started off very great pitching wise Matt Harvey sat down the first ten and looked great. I wasn't good offensively my only run came off a Ike Davis opposite field HR off the foul pole. I went down 0-2 and I was sitting on a breaking ball and he throw it and I went yard.

Things got bad in the 8th inning though. Have up a hit to Ichiro then the next batter hit a ground ball to Wright who dove and got it, I was about to go to 2nd base then switched to third when I realized I had not shot. I overthrew 1st and both runners advanced. So instead of runner on 2nd 2 outs it's 2nd and 3rd and 1 out.

Next batter I decide not to walk him to get a force at every base (the game meant nothing so I wanted to see how Harvey handled the situation). Harvey strikes Nix out so it's 2nd and 3rd 2 outs. I walk the next batter and then the next guy gets a hit and it all went down hill.

Game ended 5-3 Yankees ( I got two more runs in the bottom of the 9th and even had the winning run at the plate with two outs). Harvey pitched good but he had to many balls and I think I should have pulled him after the 7th.

Here were his final stats

4 H 1 BB 4 SO 4 ER

Check the updates on page 1... I've made some slight changes as I've dug more into this game. Also: be VERY PATIENT at the plate. I take a LOT of pitches and am getting realistic numbers. But when I get swing-happy I find I hit a lot of weak grounders or strike out a lot - and then I get frustrated. You've got to get the opposing/cpu pitcher to get his pitch count up. I don't want to lower the cpu strike zone below 40 or the walks are really way too high. Just be patient...

I have made some personal updates to this set - I was simply finding the challenge to be way too much, and the only way I could win was to play a perfect type of baseball game (my personal stats showed I was only winning around 38% of the time). If anyone is interested I'll post them, but since this thread has pretty much died I may just leave things here as is... Let me know.

Page 1 - Post 1 updated. Double-check your numbers. Some subtle changes. Be patient at the plate and get the pitcher deep into counts (I had a 13 pitch at-bat yesterday - fouled off 6 in a row and drew a walk). Use your power swing in hitters counts.

User pitching is updated to help and user throwing errors updated - should make things a bit more fair. OF arm strength updated as well.

Remember: change pitch speeds and locations... Don't be afraid to walk the big-bats.

One small update: decided to lower CPU batting power back down to 80 (lowered from 85). Just didn't like what I was seeing with the higher number - wasn't realistic. Have had a LOT of GREAT games with this slider set - very realistic and fun! (Page 1 - Post 1 has all updated information).

I don't have 13 any more. Didn't like it... But I LOVE 12. This latest slider set is FINAL. I'm having so much fun with the rosters I'm working on along with this slider set that it's almost unreal. MOST fun I've ever had playing a baseball video game. Come back to 12 - the rosters are amazing and this set plays outstanding (and the universal player edits have brought this game to life)!
