Just in line with what I had mentioned earlier with the active bullpen setting turned off, I honestly believe it gets the AI to make changes earlier... for example when a pitcher hits his lower pitch cap or gets roughed up, the change occurs immediately rather than letting the SP pitch another inning whilst the reliever warms up. Doesn't really affect setup pitchers/closers, AI tends to handle these decently, but I've turned it off. I love the setting, being forced to warmup your relievers, but I think it makes a difference for the managing AI...

Re: hetfield426's MLB 2K12 Sliders ("50" Theory)
But it sure is better than belting another 3-4 runs of the pitcher while the reliever warms up... AI can't use visits to the mound etc like we can.
Note... I am not 100% certain, as it is almost irreproducable circumstances to try it with the setting on and off... but in the games with it off I am seeing earlier changes.
Just wanted to ask if anyone else would be willing to contribute in testing the setting? Does it really make a difference?Comment

Re: hetfield426's MLB 2K12 Sliders ("50" Theory)
Interesting find... But for me, it just seems to kill the "realism" of the game. I really want the challenge of thinking ahead regarding my bullpen. Again, I wish 2K would have provided SEPARATE pitching sliders for the user & cpu - this being one of them, along with the stamina issues.STEELERS INDIANS CELTICS

Re: hetfield426's MLB 2K12 Sliders ("50" Theory)
Due to most negative feedback concerning User hitting being too difficult, I have raised User Contact from 30 to 35. Please note this change, as this is obviously a very important slider to the gameplay.Comment

Does it increase foul count? Thats probably my one major problem with user hitting - not enough foul balls.Comment

Re: hetfield426's MLB 2K12 Sliders ("50" Theory)
I'm fairly certain that this will raise foul ball count, as there will be more contact made with the ball itself. Of course, having too much contact would result in almost no foul balls and all straight shots, so the key is not raising it to that point.Comment

Last night, I had an AB that was AT least 15 pitches using Cliff Pennington against Kevin Millwood in my Oakland franchise. I like contact at 35.Comment

Hetfield: I know my topic is off from the sliders thread but I figured I would get a faster response since I know you reply.
I noticed in the all star game that the uniforms for both NL and AL teams are black and red. But in the real all-star game, they are both blue and baby blue colors to match the Royals uniforms. In the game, it's the right stadium but different color uniforms. Any ideas on this?Comment

You mean how would I go about changing the All Star team uniforms in the game? I'm sorry, I'm no expert on that stuff. I would investigate this issue elsewhere. I'm sure someone has made it a downloadable file on the computer that you can download to your Xbox using a special cable.Comment

Re: hetfield426's MLB 2K12 Sliders ("50" Theory)
Ok, back on topic with the sliders. Lately, I've noticed that I've been getting more hits then runs and a few times I've been shutout. It seems that often I leave runners in scoring position and can't get them home. I haven't changed any of the slider settings from your sliders other than the 35 for the batting contact. Are there any suggestions for this? Like I've said in the previous posts, I had been doing pretty well. Now, I've also noticed that CPU gets hits often into the gap to the outfield. They would get three straight hits, then either a HR to follow or a base hit up the middle. It's just very odd that this is happening now.Comment
