UPDATE: I ended up losing the first game to the Dodgers 5-0 and then played a 2nd game with them. This time I set my batting sliders to 60 & 60 and the CPU to 55 & 55 and won 9-3 with my pitcher (Halladay) pitching a complete game. That seems like the pattern for me now, lose the first game but then win the second one it's all good.

Okay. As you continue tweaking I would just advise to not change settings after one game's results. I'd look at at least 3 before doing so, because there will always be bizarre fluke games, whether you like it or not. That's also part of the fun.

Ok, I'll leave the settings alone for now until after a couple of games like you said. I did tweak it once more last night and bumped my batting sliders both up to 70 and the CPU at 60. I played 2 games against the Orioles and lost both, 3-0 and 1-0. But I will leave it at that for now and see what happens when I play a couple of games tonight against them again.

Ok. Do you mean post patch update for your slider settings?

I played the orioles again last night and was down 8-3 heading into the 9th inning. I thought had no chance but almost pulled it off. I scored 4 runs and ended up losing 8-7. I'm still using your slider settings.

Ok, I applied the new patch that recently came out and will try out your latest slider settings.

Just to be sure, any changes in the sliders will always be posted on your very first post and you are updating the values in that post?

Thanks. Ok, I played 1 game last night against the Twins and was up 5-2 heading into 7th inning when Joe Mauer launched a solo shot into deep left center field so it made it 5-3. Then they tacked on 2 more runs in the 8th so it was tied up. I added an RBI double in the ninth which then made 6-5 and then brought in Papelbon to close it out. Unfortunately, they smacked a 3 run shot in deep center field and it was all over. The final score was 8-6 and I ended up with 14 hits and they ended up with 15.

Overall, it was a fun game with plenty of offense which I enjoyed seeing as this felt like watching a live baseball game on tv.

I'll play another game against them tonight and let you know the results.

You're welcome! I didn't realize that comment would make such an impact.

I did play a 2nd game with the Twins last and came up much different results this time. It was a shutout through 8 innings until Hunter Pence mis-played a routine flyball so they scored a run. I got shutout 1-0 and left players in scoring position multiple times. I had 12 hits and they had 9 hits. Hopefully I'll do better next game.

The one thing that I hate is when the CPU hits it right up the middle and either the short stop or 2B starts to run for it and then suddenly stop when it gets to them making the ball roll into the outfield. Sometimes they'll do that ridiciously long stretch out dive but most of the time they stop.

I know exactly the thing you're talking about. Unfortunately, raising Infielder Speed might solve that problem, but as you can imagine, create several others. I really think that's one of the issues engrained into the game.
