Re: hetfield426's MLB 2K12 Sliders ("50" Theory)
Ive played 2 games with these and both of them have played really well. Ive played the Cards spring games, and have won 1 and lost one last night, 4-1 to the Twins.
the only thing that i tweaked after 2 innings was that I upped user pitcher control to 35. With Carp on the mound and the setting at 30, 95% of the time the ball was going nowhere near where I put the cursor, and Carp has good control. Upping it to 35 let me have a higher percentage of balls go to where I wanted them, but still provided plenty of instances where I missed with some pitches.
the only other thing that I am keeping my eye on over the next few games is power on both sides. In the first game, each team had a homer, and in last night's game, just the Twins had one. Now, I think that is realistic, but the only thing is that other than that, neither team hit any other balls hard, especially last nights game which saw only singles between both teams. But I think this is one of those areas where it's gonna take a few games played to determine if a few tweaks need to be made.
Regardless, the sliders are awesome! Nice work!Comment

Re: hetfield426's MLB 2K12 Sliders ("50" Theory)
Thanks for your feedback! You actually kind of read my mind, as I was recently considering increasing that slider to 35, and now I just did. As for the power thing, that happens to me too, where I have games that have no real hard-hit balls other than any dingers. But I've also found that increasing the power sliders results in unrealistic power tendencies, and I feel that the force of the ball coming off the bat is realistic in most cases, though it may seem a bit weaker at times. But more research and game time is definitely needed before I raise those.Comment

I changed some stuff, for instance: I'm really good at pitching so I have "pitching control" at 20, "CPU batting power" at 90 and "pitching speed" at 85 (if you're like me, try this... It really helps). I'm not saying you gotta change this hetfield426's, as I said before, I did it because I'm very good at pitching.
Anyway, thanks from my homeland: Venezuela! I told my friends about your slider set and they're loving it, now.Comment

Re: hetfield426's MLB 2K12 Sliders ("50" Theory)
Wow thanks for the awesome feedback!
I have no problem with you changing pitching control if you feel you're good enough at pitching that you won't give up too many unintentional walks. Be careful with the CPU batting power one too. And I'm fine with Pitch Speed at 100 not only because it's perfectly realistic to real life pitching, but because I've gotten used to it and am able to read pitches pretty well.
Please continue to enjoy and let me know if you have any more suggestions!Comment

Re: hetfield426's MLB 2K12 Sliders ("50" Theory)
Why user composure at 50 and CPU at 30???
I'm curious about the composure slider, wasn't a fan of it last year, I thought it was best to lower to 5 or even 0, is it working better this year???Comment

I personally have no real problem with the slider, as it makes the gameplay more exciting. But I do think it has improved as well.Comment

Re: hetfield426's MLB 2K12 Sliders ("50" Theory)
How is the pitch counts for both teams ?
I just ended watching Yankees x Rays game. 169 x 146 each team pitching.. Wow what a game
It's very rare to see both teams with more than 140 pitches, unless the number of hits are high... But i can't find a good cobination that makes a big number of AB that works the count... a lot of early ground balls or a lot strike outs.. what should i do to reduce this ? Reduce the cpu contact ? raise the pitcher control.. i don't know...Comment

Re: hetfield426's MLB 2K12 Sliders ("50" Theory)
with these sliders are you guys noticing it being more realistic when tagging up and advancing on fly ball outs. I have been playing mostly online and it seems like the throw is way too close to nabbing my runner at home when trying to tag and score from 3rd base on a deep fly ball to the outfield.Comment

Re: hetfield426's MLB 2K12 Sliders ("50" Theory)
See what works for you. You might wanna fiddle with the cpu contact a little, I'm not sure if increase or decrease. Pitcher control can be what you want it, based on your confidence as a pitcher. I haven't had many games with unusually high pitch counts, but mess around with it if you like and let me know if there is an improvement.Comment

Re: hetfield426's MLB 2K12 Sliders ("50" Theory)
So I was looking for some sliders because I haven't had realistic gameplay with the default 2k setting and I stumbled across these. I inserted them and played a game against the Rangers, I was the Tigers, and the game was more realistic. I was toe and toe with the CPU for the first time in a while. I won in the bottom of the 9th of a Prince Fielder homer, however it was robbed. I did win because Austin Jackson tagged up and scored from 2nd. Not sure if it was because it was in the deepest part of Comerica or it was the sliders, but it was a good game overall.
My second game wasn't close, at all. I scored 23 runs. Derrick Holland was pitching, so it wasn't as though it was some unrealistic call up I was facing. Miguel Cabrera had 3 home runs, 2 of which were Grand Slams, in the same inning! Suffice it to say, the second game wasn't very realistic, unless I just had an unbelievable game. I even checked every inning to see if the sliders were still set, and they were. That's only two games, though, so I am going to play a few more. Hopefully, it will be more like the first game.Nebraska Cornhuskers Detroit Tigers San Francisco 49ers Detroit Red Wings Syracuse Orange New York KnicksComment

23 runs??? Maybe you're just godly at this game...I barely ever get into double digits with these. But I'm sure that must've been an amazing game, at least I hope.
Also an announcement that I will be changing some of these settings by the end of next week I believe, so stay tuned if you've loved playing these so far! Because they're about to get better.Comment

Yea, I don't know. It still seems a little easy batting. I was scoring with ease the third game as well against Feliz. Maybe I am good, but I think I rack up too many singles. I may try to bring down the contact some.Nebraska Cornhuskers Detroit Tigers San Francisco 49ers Detroit Red Wings Syracuse Orange New York KnicksComment
