Updated few things on my slider set. As I played more I got a little better so I tweaked a few things. THat is why I like to leave the old values to people can start at the beginning if they want and see if they like the original set, or one of the modifications.

Tried out your newest sliders tonight. Ended up getting rocked 11-1 by the Angels. I was walking the ballpark left and right, which didn't help. Not sure if lowering the user pitch control from 30 to 20 was the culprit or not. I'll probably play a few more with these sliders and move the control up to 25 or maybe back to 30 if I continue to walk the ballpark (even I know this is a small sample size!)

That is strange. I've only walk about one guy a game. My last 3 games were 2-1, 8-7 and 4-2. All close games. Keep working at it.

I may lower computer contact a click but I think down a click but I think they strikeout too much when I lower contact.

I played another this morning and only walked 3, so some of it was just unfamiliarity with such a low control setting. You really gotta focus on hitting your pitches to get them in the strike zone, especially on 3 ball counts. Still lost 2-1, though. Kyle McClellan (of all people) held me hitless through 7 innings for crying out loud! Oh well. Still a pretty good game.

Need more games to get a semblance of an opinion of the sliders. Can't make definite conclusions on just 2 games.

As MK says, for those keeping up , Been having a great time with these. I think my last posting is pretty much what I am looking for. However, for the time being, going to click down CPU Batting Power one click to 65.

Hey Shogun,

Have u found any new animations with the anticipation attribute at 25 in MLB2k13. Does it play more fluid as MLB2k12? Still seeing a lot of outfielding issues with MLB2K13, just like MLB2K12. Any thoughts?

I haven't played 2k13 yet. These rosters with the attribute edit for 2k12 is just what the doctor ordered.

I rarely run into outfield issues in 2k12, especially post edit.

I have seen 2 instances with these adjustments with 2k12 where the 2b held the ball as the runner ran all the way home from between 2b & 3b. Other than that it's been great. Maybe the game decided it was an inside the park HR and that's the only graphic it can use for that.

do you find the comp is throwing too many strikes? I am not seeing many balls or walks? u think lowering pitch sucess or composure is worth it?

Though I can't speak directly for 2k12, in 2k13 the CPU pounds the zone so much that lowering the strike zone tendency to 35-40 for the CPU seems to be the sweet spot. IRL, strike % is dependent on the pitcher, but will usually be between 60-75%, with poor control pitchers clocking in at 55-60% and aces around 70-75%. I would consider 50% as a lower limit and 80% an upper limit over the course of the game--it also depends on how much of a free swinger you are.

I use the team stats feature in the post-game to check the strike % as I've been testing sliders, and I've been seeing ~65% for both sides which is spot on. I also saw it depends on pitcher rating, since Roy Halladay was pounding the zone against me, but then the relievers came in and were much more wild (Halladay has 90+ control on most of his pitches so it's legit).

I have found with that depending on the pitcher the control varies. I played a game last night and I faced the other teams number 1 and I drew 1 walk. But the reliever that came in I drew 3 walks in 2 innings.

As much as I love sim, I play video game baseball to hit and I want the computer to hit too. I am good with minimal walks, that is just my preference.

But if the sliders play well for you except for the control just inch it down to your liking.

I was playing as the Braves vs. the Pirates. Medlen got rocked in the first inning for 6 runs on 7 hits. I thought I'd give him some rope, so I let him pitch to one batter in the 2nd - gave up a single. That was it. I've saved the game as it's in the 3rd inning and I'm trailing 7-2. Gonna see if I can pull it out... LOVING 2K12!!

dude, thanks for the sliders. having great games with these. only made a couple adjustments to the throwing meters but otherwise, they are perfect.

i have had some blowouts and close games. in my last series using the reds against the cards, i had a 8-5 game where i was killing the ball. i followed that by getting 3 hit and losing 1-0 on a throwing error. then i started the next game off with solo hr's in the first two innings finishing 4-1 with 3 solos.

I've now played about 10 games with these sliders. My walks have gone the gamut of high (7-8 walks in a couple of games) to low (0-1 in a couple of games. Most games have had some scoring but they've all been close contests (mostly one-run games.) Which is good.

Statistically, things look about on target. Good selection of total hits in games (6-12 per team, usually), strikeouts (6-12 per team, usually), doubles and triples occur at an acceptable pace.

But two things stick out for me. First, user stolen bases seem fairly accurate with real-life SB rates, but user catcher throwing is off the charts. Most AI stolen base attempts are not even close--I threw out Michael Bourn twice in 3 innings with Jonathan LuCroy. And they weren't even close--the ball got there at least 2 steps before most runners unless I'm late realizing that a guy is stealing.

Second, my user power, specifically for HRs, is way down. In 10 games, all with the Brewers, I've hit one home run. ONE. An accurate representation of doubles and triples, but only 1 HR. I'm using total control batting but I rarely (and I mean RARELY) use the power swing. It is probably 98% contact swings for me.

So, I'm guessing I need to tweak a few settings. For me, at least. The sliders seem to be working out for most people. And for me, they're working out except for those 2 things.

Not really a grumbling email here, by the way, in case you think I'm just ripping them. Looking for guidance and/or seeing if anybody else is getting these kind of results with SB and HR.

I hear you with the stolen bases. I've been working on fixing that part. It basically comes down to how the computer takes leads when they steal vs. human leads. When I steal I take the huge 5 stepper so the plays at second are really close.

When the computer steals they usually only have a two step lead so we'd hav to compensate for that. Maybe we can lower catcher arm strength a click or two. I'll test it out tonight.

Power for me isnt a problem. Last night's game Ortiz hit a dinger as did my backup first baseman. I usually average about 2 a game. The Ortiz homer was with a contact swing, and (backup, can't think of his name, starts with an O,) was with a power swing.

Most of my homeruns come from power swings which I only use in hitting counts with power guys. Very rarely does Ciriaco hit for power with me, or never actually
