Silky smooth defense. Thought the timing with the runners was right on point.

One test I did for fun was put AI Pitch Effectiveness at 0. Well, I struck out 17 time!!!! Maybe that slider works backwards. I did win finally, 4-0, but my starter threw an absolute gem.

And with 50 pitcher fatigue, my starter (stamina 92 I think) got to the century mark and started getting tired. I would think guys in the 90's would get to about 100. Guys over that can get to 110, 120.

Hopefully gonna get a few more games in later. As bad a hitting performance this was, the defense was dynamite! Really good game of baseball played.

Hit a triple to the gap. Also, cpu hit a hard ground ball down third base line with a man on first. My guy fielded it, threw a pea to second and then to first but the runner, 89 speed, beat the throw by a half step. Really happy with the timing right now.

Great game. Unreal pitchers duel again. HEARTBREAKING LOSS for me. Close play too. But the ump made the right call. THis game was with AI pitch Success at 50. I struck out like 5 times this game. Next game is going to be at 100. Need some time to get over this though.

Was his game to lose, tried to stick with my starter but he hit the wall. Few questionable baserunning choices on my end too. 2 outs on the bases.......I DO NOT ALLOW outs on the bases with my high school I coach. I try to send as many guys to the plate as possible. Bad baseball, I would have benched myself, TWICE

Just played a post season game with AI Pitch Effectiveness at 100.

I scored 10 runs, 3 home runs and struck out 4 times I think.

At 50..

I struck out 6 times.

At 0..

I struck out 17 times!

I think that AI Pitch Success slider works backwards. Those numbers back it up. Anyone else out there playing? I am going back to 50 for AI Pitch Success and going to play another game in a few.

In the past I have read that upping Power screws with the hit variety. I see a lot of sets that have set Power 75 and over. I am going with Contact 35 Power 70. More fly balls in 13 than in 11 and 12. I have Power set at 50 in 11 and I love the hit variety. In 13 with Power set at 50 it is difficult to get the ball to the warning track.


I am running with Contact 35 Power 75. CPU Pitching... Pitch Success 55 Strike Frequency 45. Low scoring games. I use Classic Batting.


Seems it was a bit easier to find the sweet spot for me in 11 and 12 than it is in 13 but they have made improvements in 13 that keep me trying.

If your using classic hitting then I guess maybe it would make sense to have power set lower. One button does both contact and power whereas swing stick has both a power and contact swing.

I grew tired of one-button swinging. Felt like I had no real control of what was happening in each matchup. I'd really suggest using the swing stick. It helps us here when information is being passed along, and it really does make the game come to life.

(This is coming from someone who would NEVER use swing stick for a long time - but it really makes the plate battles feel more realistic and rewarding).

Seems like you weren't the only one to like 2k's stick swinging, the show liked it so much they're using it this year as well.

You need to set them up but it is a snap. You cannot save the angles for each stadium you have to do it for each game you play but it takes a second to do just save the page to your favs or toolbar.

Down 5 on catcher arm strength for both Human and CPU.

Just played a dynamite game. Lost 3-2 to the Yankees in the Post Season. Series tied 1-1.

Good idea. I have been experimenting with BR Speed at 25 too. Might be a tad too fast though. OF Speed 10 OF Throwing Speed at 60. There's a perfect mix in here somewhere.

I think 11-13 must be coded the same or very close because it seems as if the slider adjustments have the same effect across all 3 games. Anyone who thinks the graphics suck in these games has to watch the models and animations in the replays.

This is where we need the inbetween values for the sliders. I also liked OF 10 and throw speed 60 but I found too many balls get to the gap and too many triples were being given up. But at 15 too many gap shots get caught, etc. Perfect world would be like OF speed 12 and OF arm speed 57.

I'm going to play a game now and try your 10 / 60
