After playing this game, yes I would say that the videos are pretty close to the final product. It's not as bad as some people are making it out to be. If you can bear a game without presentation and stat overlays, I would go with MLB. If you need these added features than get MVP.

I see why 989 didn't add any of this stuff as it does bog the PSP down a bit. The framerate drops only appear when the replays come up from what I've seen so far.

We all need to realize that EA is all about money. Look at EA, granted they ported over MVP2004 which was a great game, it has people mad that they are paying $50 for a 2 year old game. We need to remember that when EA screwed up Madden 2004 with the draft import bug for XBOX, they immediately fixed the issue by replacing discs.

I have also come to the realization that SONY/989 doesn't care about their customers either. They release a very buggy PS2 game which is the best Bb game that I've played in years. They won't even acknowledge the problem when you call support. Then MLB PSP which runs smooth and pretty graphics also has little known bugs. I feel like if 989 put the presentation in from their PS2 game, that maybe it would have ran similar to MVP PSP. I'm not a programmer, so I'm not too sure.

The point I'm trying to make is that many developers/publishers are only in it for the money. If they cared about us consumers than we would all be happy.

Interested to know what bugs you've encountered with MLB PSP? I've seen one... and it doesn't affect me b/c it's on a rarely used camera view.

And presentation...? MLB commentary just simply blows away MVP... but the lack of auto replays and batter walkups really hurt it.

Any impressions on Season mode (stat tracking, etc.)?

Sad thing is that w/ a years worth of dev, we could have a near-perfect port of MVP 2005. But, due to the exclusivity delas, this is all will ever get.
