When will we see MVP again

Does anyone know when visual concepts' contract with mlb is up. i would love to see mvp on the next generation machines. by the way the last mvp is still one of the best sports games ever created in my opinion.

I play mine too...not often, but when I need a fix, I fire up the PC w/ 2007 rosters and get lost in the gameplay

The MVP team has been picked apart. K_GUN is probably right, the closest thing you'll see is 2k8 since it has the same producer. Even if EA got the rights to MLB back you might not see a good game since the folks who made this one have moved on to greener pastures.

Really? So far it's only been a multiple choice answer.....and no one seems to know which choice to take.

              I believe it was a 7-year deal.

EA will probably put out another MLB title someday, but it's highly unlikely many (if any) original MVP'ers will be on the team. We've scattered to the four corners of the gaming world.

Re: When will we see MVP again

I loved MVP, but I think mlb 2k is going in the right direction. Next year they will take a page out of MVP's book and add minor league rosters. It is a great looking game, and their hitting and pitching could use some tweaking, but they are on the right track. Fielding needs more work. I think they've done an excellent job with baserunning. It honestly (to me) feels like MVP. I bought 2k7 in March, and it was the first non-MVP game I had bought since one of the All-Star baseballs (which had the deepest franchise mode I have seen on a sports game to this day). And I liked it. And I liked it because it felt a lot like mvp. Obviously how you hit and pitch are different, but they really focused on the little things.

So I am looking foward to the future of that franchise, and I think they are doing the right thing by taking what MVP did well and emulating rather than doing something different just for the sake of being different.

The animations in MLB 2K7 are not impressive at all! I just checked out MVP 05 and the animations; smooth throws, quick/smooth baserunning, just blow
2k out of the water... I really hope they add these animations to 2K8, otherwise it will still just look good, and not play good!
