I wish I didn't suck so much at baseball games. I suck at The Show, and I had never played MVP 2005 before, so I figure I'd give it a try, and I suck at this one too.

This is a game in which you really have to be persistent. MVP 05 is very different from the show so its going to take you about a week to really grasp the engine. But owner mode is extremely fun. Im going to start it up again soon. Been updating the rosters hardcore and need about 7 more teams.

In The Show, I can't bat, but I can pitch. In MVP, everything I hit seems to be a pop fly or ground out. And everytime I throw a perfect pitch, if it's inside, it's hit for a HR or double usually, and if I throw it outside, it's a ball, even if it's on the edge. The fielders are horrible. I had a ball pop up between two fielders, and I had Assisted fielding on, so the CPU was supposed to do the catching, and they let it drop right between them. Very disappointing. I'm going to keep the game because it was only $1.99, but still. I wish they would make a baseball game for casual gamers. Maybe a separate one from The Show and 2K. Don't want what happened to Madden to happen to those two franchises. :-p

Just started what seems my 49854897 owner mode. I intend on actually keeping up with this one. I am the Giants this time, I just started the season and am mostly focusing on building up my farm system. I signed two free agent players, both AAA level players, but I will place them in AA to start the season off. One is a 6'7 right handed third basemen( Hit a 2 run Home run in the first game using him) and a power hitting left handed right fielder, I fully expect these guys to be up in the majors within two years if everything goes well, and I need them to develop as well as a second basemen and left fielder in the minors as "John Dowd" retires.

AndrewLuck, Its good to see other people enjoying owner mode. I am about 80% done with my rosters. I have 23 teams done and am looking foward to starting one with the Pirates. It would be a great challenge considering Garrett Jones is their only true power threat. Am pumped up.

I used the pirates a lot in my old owner modes, it was a challenge, but lots of fun!

Anybody able to get into mvpmods anymore? I am not able to access it. Hope it's not shutdown.
